Whats the main reason you don't like others to know about your addiction? For me that's the fact that pokemon isn't everywhere considered to be cool in any way and telling when I tell others I play it alot of pokemon they'll just laugh at me xD

Yeah i usually get made fun of with people saying pokemon is for baby's..im only 13 aswell...

For me it's the fact that Pokémon is considered "one of those things you grow out of".
This really pisses me off as no one I know, knows about the mentally challenging aspect of the game.
We just have to accept that Pokémon will never be as accepted as any other game, or a game we can be proud to tell other people about...unless we get a celebrity to advetise it...

Pokemon is just really nerdy and people would blow me off if I said I did something like that. I also can play more if I don't let anyone know. People see pokemon as something that is for kids and whenever they think about it the only thing that comes to mind is pikachu and really crappy anime. I see it as one of the few intellectual activities where I am challenged.

I think the only thing we can do is for one of us to become a celebrity, become insanely cool and celebrated, then advertise Pokemon as cool, then...oh, wait...I'm on Smogon...

i hate telling people becuase they imediately think its for little kids. It is alot more fun and not as little kiddish as people think

Pokemon is just another fad where i am. there are times when people think its really cool and all the chicks will say "OMG, that is so cool!!!!" and other times those same girls will shout "YOU STILL PLAY POKEMON!?!" really loudly for everyone to hear. yay...

My prickish friend told people I play. I'm sad ;-;
