Yeah time to fix the other hax-based ability: Forewarn. In the feedback thread, several ideas for Forewarn were brought up...

Grazing Version

Forewarn:

Type: Innate

This Pokemon has the ability to sense the opponents attacks, and tend to be more evasive in nature. When this Pokemon uses the Dodge command, Evasive Agility, or Evasive Teleport, if this Pokemon takes damage while using either command, then the final damage inflicted to this Pokemon is halved (×0.5).

Pokemon with this ability: Drowzee, Hypno, Jynx, Smoochum, Munna, Musharna, Necturna.

Anticipation Clone

Forewarn:

Type: Innate

This Pokemon has the ability to sense the opponents super-effective, OHKO, and explosive attacks, and if hit by either move, then the BAP of that move is reduced by two (2).

Pokemon with this ability: Drowzee, Hypno, Jynx, Smoochum, Munna, Musharna, Necturna.

Personally, I prefer the evasive & grazing versions, but that is my opinion. Thoughts?

Objection

Yeah, I'm going to support the evasive and grazing versions too (grazing slightly more so than evasive, but that might just be because I'm wondering why the pokemon games don't have the concept of a grazing hit already). I dislike the Anticipation clone because we already have something like five or six abilities that reduce the BAP of incoming moves and going with that option just reeks of lack of creativity, but it's still better than the current Forewarn. We really don't need to create more hax than what in-game did.

Grazing and Evasive are both good alternatives, whilst I'm not overly happy with the current forewarn or the Anticipation clone.

I think the Grazing version is pretty interesting and would be nice strategically, without having too much (or too little power). Evasive would be better than Anticipation clone or the current version, although it seems a tad too useless to me.

Evasive is actually quite powerful, practically guarenteeing 30%+ dodges, and letting you evade widespread moves like EQ and Surf. I also prefer Grazing mind.

I think Evasive Forewarn > Grazing Forewarn >>> Anticipation Clone >>> Current Forewarn, personally.

tbh the only reason you use Dodge is when you're in a last-ditch scenario and can't do anything else. That being said, I don't want another clone and the current version is horrible, so it really only leaves Dodge-affecting versions; I don't like the Grazing Forewarn, though, since when you're using Dodge you're probably weak to the point that even half damage will finish you off -_-

Alternatively can we just give Forewarn Pokemon a flat bonus to Dodge and do away with the one plus double BAP thing?

What flat bonus would you suggest though, Engineer?

Grazing can also muck up with someone aiming to go for a KO though, potentially turning a KO in 3 actions to a KO in 4 actions, esp. given it is not considered an evasive move for the purposes of sub classes. Finally, remember Grazing also applies to Agilidodge & Teledodge as well as Dodge (Same as evasive), so...
