Quote tags, hide tags, color codes, etc. - what do you use? More importantly, what do you prefer to see when your articles/analyses are being proofread? Seeing the whole article makes it a bit harder to weed out corrections, but it's somewhat easier to copy and paste it back into your original post than if an editor split his edits into sections.

I prefer the hide tags to prevent less scrolling, but it's minor at best. But I'd rather have the full analysis to help copy -> paste.

I know some editing is unique, but can we possibly have a "defined" color scheme for edits?

I use blue for changes, purple for comments, green for additions, and red for removals. I also bold everything so it stands out and the person the wrote the work I'm editing can easily notice it. I also tend to do everything seperately when editing an update or revamp. Like if for instance I'm editing a Salamence update I'll write "Dragon Dance", then copy and paste + edit that set, then I'll write "MixMence" further down and repeat. I don't often use hide tags if only for the purpose of the person whos work I'm editing itt can see it more easily, but I very well may start using them...and on much longer edits I do try and use the hide tags.

Colonel M, I think that a defined color scheme would be cool, but then as long as the editor tells what the colors represent in their post, there should be no problems. I think part of the unique allure in c&c is how each person does edit their peers' analysis in their own way.

I always go with the simple quote tags + Bold. If I change something I bold the new parts and if I make a comment I just bold and write in parenthesis.

After:

I use hide tags, bold for changes, removals in red and (comments in red bold brackets). I find it is easier to implement a check when all the text that needs to be removed are the same color..

Also interesting to see people change their color schemes overtime. Definitely does happen, like Snorlaxe, lol.
