Other channels

#Warau
One of the largest channels, with near everyone set as an OP. Despite having lurked there for several months I have no idea what #warau is for. So I decided to ask the locals.
#Fluodome
Main game channel with several bots to run many different games, mafia, poker, uno, dodgeball, ect..

#Moo
Used for a bot run c5 variant of mafia and other games like MasterMind and RPS. Effectively a mini #Fluodome.

#drachma
moo minus the games.

#Hawk / #Ilblud
Often used for human run real time mafia.

#FAIL
We don't really know yet. Fireburn runs it.

lol @ #fail That's not smogon related at all, only run by smogon users. It is no more a channel than #jtp or #vashta is.

#fail may not be any more smogon related than those, but maybe that just means those should be added. This list aims to be reasonably comprehensive. If a channel is frequented by Smogon members then feel free to ask me to add it. The reason Fireburn's channel is here and the others are not is because he asked me to add it.

edit: thinking of adding rough activity info in the form of normal min/max usercount, anyone think that would be handy?

I would be against an activity info section, as it would just be a vicious circle for new channels (I.E., "Oh look that channel is inactive, I won't go there")

Changed #sprite description, added and changed a few others, set official channels to underline.

And Alchemator, it could make it a bit harder for channels to get off the ground, but giving people more information allows them to make educated choices about which channels to go to is the purpose of this list. If they are interested in a channel's topic and it has a "New" notice then they may well check out a channel with few people, I could even not include data on new channels I guess. As for killing old channels, this list is unlikely to actively discourage users from joining them and tbh if a channel becomes inactive it is usually because the people have moved on, so it's better to direct them to the place where things are happening. You also have the flipside to vicious circles where a channel has a burst of activity and people go to see what all the fuss is about, which could help certain channels significantly.

Worth noting that I already roughly order the list by activity and importance.

Edit: If representatives from any of the channels listed can come up with a better description than the one I have given (they can in almost all cases) in roughly the same style (no 3 paragraph descriptions, just basic info saying what the channel is for) then please contact me with it.
