I'm quite new here, I don't know much about the past mafia games that you veterans have played. You can imagine my frustration when I see people randomly shout something about "GINYU FORCE" or "FUCK TIGER" on IRC (ok I know what foutre tigre is but it's an example). So, enlighten me, fellow mafia players!

(Yes this is also an excuse to post a discussion in a social group)

My most memorable moment would be this. The paint update in Greatest Troll Mafia, although it has now become another kind of troll to anyone who didn't see it when it was first made. Basically I had a role that forced my targets to post and vote via drawings they'd had to do using Paint... I targeted Mekkah with it, who was the host. He did the whole update with Paint.

uh, i'd have to say WW3 mafia, hosted by stoo and shade. i was a mafia inspector, with shiv, GTS, myriad and tennisace. i dunno why i enjoyed this game so much, to be honest. i think it was just watching shiv mole every single faction at once, even though it made my ability sort of useless =\

I was probably most excited when I was recruited by Obi's wolf faction in Apocalypse Mafia. I inspected him like night 0, but was pretty much forced to make a deal with him and Jackal later because my team (I was mafia) was getting its ass kicked. I was extremely paranoid of being found out, in addition to being afraid of being backstabbed by Jackal (who, I learned later, could have gotten away with it)

I won though, it was great!

Another memorable moment was when I just failed my finals, and in addition the village in Mafia Mafia was getting its ass kicked, half unaware of it. I was having some sort of unison with Shiney, Blue Kirby, Amelia and CardsoftheHeart (iirc), though my personal win condition didn't require a village win, just a survival for me and WER. And then dak threatened me to vote against my bud Blue Kirby or else he'd kill one of us. After much negotiation I ended up doing it. We both survived by mercy and conveniently won!

There's many more, but these spring to mind immediately.

Winning Mafia Mafia while being an inspected mafia, with no contact with my team until one of the last days. CORLEONE!

Mr. Esc completely ignored my hints in Zelda Mafia, and instead, told everyone but me (and whoever the other god was) about his existence. >=(

Trying to outsmart Hipmonlee in Star Wars mafia. I was Boba Fett (wolf + inspector). He was Luke Skywalker. I had told the bounty hunter faction that I was actually part of their group. I had told the "village" BG that I was a good guy and had him protecting me. Hipmonlee rightfully distrusted me, and told me that if he dies, his allies would assume I did it and vote me out, so I didn't want to kill him. However, he voted for me anyway (although he later changed his vote), so I couldn't risk keeping him alive. I took the risk and killed him, but was unable to defend myself against the village (and the bounty hunters didn't come out in large enough numbers to defend me).

For me, it was definitely getting killed by Manfred Von Karma (Thorns) in Quarantine. (Damn Quarantine...)

Fuck Von Karma; seriously, fuck him all the way to goddamn Hell. FUCK!

When I got the news over IRC, Ness and I flipped! Gotta love Ness's reaction in the thread, too.
