Earth, a small delicate planet, for millions of years maintained perfect balance. With this balance life flourished and evolved. But soon, evolution took a grave mistake forward, and gave rise to the human race. At first, the humans belonged to Earth, worshipped her beauty and gifts, and feared her almighty power, and blended with the balance of the world. In time however, the humans learned many things, and began to abuse the gifs of Earth. At first the effects were minute, and Earth could easily forgive her offspring to their mistakes, and compensate for the damage, for Earth was a merciful being and believed all her creations were sacred. But the humans were selfish, and the more Earth forgave, the more they pushed her limits. They did not share in her love for all creation, and only sought to improve their own lives through the destruction of the land around them. Soon, Earth was no longer a thing of beauty and splendor, no longer was she a loving and giving being, no longer could she forgive the sinful indulgences of her savage offspring. Just as the land around her was ravaged, so to was the kind and gentle soul of Earth. Her pain is no longer bearable, and the time for Gaia, the Supreme Being, to rise is about to unfold. The final move to clear the plague of humans and restore balance is underway, and Earth is no longer the type to show mercy.

In the years prior to Earth’s great withdrawal, evolution took one final step forward, a preemptive defense for the onslaught about to ensue. A select group of human was selected by chance to become more than just mere mortals. Each of the selected were bestowed a unique power, making them far more powerful than any other human could hope to be. At first the chosen were feared and shunned from society. Most eventually proved to benefit the world and became heroes for the lesser humans. But soon a rift formed between the elect, as more and more realized the corruption of their species. The gifted began to split, and turmoil was forged between them. Balance is now clinging by threads as the tension between sides heightens to its breaking point, and deep below, the true world power is awakening, preparing to reveal itself….

The sun shined brightly down upon the city of Reno, Nevada. The regular hustle and bustle of its inhabitants persisted, despite the stress of the world around them. Throughout the city were posters of the Omnipotes (humans w/ powers), the gaurdians of the human race. Every now again a small child would look at the pictures in awe and say: "Mommy, when I get older I'll be just like them." And the mother would just laugh and sigh before pulling them away and resuming the days endeavours. These people, so happy, so mindless, so ignorant of the world around them, were so content to let fate handle the rest.

High on a mountain, covered with dense woods, a couple was training. These two youths were both talented Omnipotes, and both were not willing to let destiny take charge.

"You know, it's nice being an Omnipote and all, but even with two of us, it gets pretty damn lonely. I mean, how do we know that there are more of us out there? The possibility lingers, but I have my doubts."

It was a cold day in Stockholm, Sweden as a lone figure was strolling the streets and everybody avoided him whispering in the darkness and then 2 figures stepped foward to stop the figure
"What you doing here FREAK" Said the 1st man
"Go away or we will make you" Said the second man pulling out a knife
The lone figure just stopped and then in the flash of an eye a Blizzard hit the street and it was over as soon as it started and the 2 people were gone and the lone figure kept strolling through the empty street

(question, arent we passed the point of hatred towars us, I thought everyone knew about, accepted, and admired the Omnipotes at this point)

(Not everyone, plus my character isnt exactly the most..........kindest person around and isnt very nice to people so i think you can guess why they hate him)

"Well, Skyla... we know they ARE out there. Those government Omnipotes did confirm that when they began tracking us... we just havent been lucky enough to meet them... it'd be nice if we could though"

The lone figure gets to the outskirts of town and keeps walking into the distance for around 1hour and then gets to a house and goes inside and takes off his heavy white cloak to reveal a young man wearing a red suit, with an unbuttoned shirt with a red T-shirt and with flat shaggy red hair of medium build and of about 6'03 of height and he replaces the white cloak with a red one
"Yo Oscar i am home" The young man says as a Border collie/Kelpie cross dog appeared and tackled him to the ground licking his face
"Hey down boy"

"You are correct there. I wouldn't mind meeting other people like us. Though, with it just being us, I get this distinct feeling of being on top of the world."

Here I was, sitting on a beach near the open sea at Sydney, smelling the salty air, feeling the cool breeze. I often came here to reflect on events of the day, and my own life.

This night, my thoughts drifted to the many events of my life up to this point. I had a surprisingly normal childhood despite being an Omnipote, at least until I turned 16 when things took a horrible turn for the worse. An anti-Omnipote riot in Seattle during a vacation killed off much of my immediate family, and I knew then that normal humans were evil, but could perhaps be convinced to change for the better.

A few years later, the Terra Federation showed up, a group of Omnipotes who through their influence and kind deeds had basically been given the planet. I was asked to join, and was given what was essentially Alaska to rule. It was a neat situation, but many of these ruling Omnipotes had proven the statement "absolute power corrupts absolutely" and went subsequently power-mad. For instance, the Omnipote given charge of Japan used his sun-based powers to force the population to worship him and returned to pre-WWII imperial government, only the Emperor was FAR more active in politics. My ruling never got nearly as bad, but I did decide to commit a "political experiment" to try and fuse capitalism and communism into a workable system.

It didn't work.

It was starting to get cold, so I decided to get in my car and head for home.
