I think we should try and figure out the best grammar checking style possible that is both efficient and easy for the writer to read. I personally use the bold style and I make my comments with [ ]. I don't say what words I removed, I just bold the two words before and after the word(s) I removed.

bold for changes and parenthesis or brackets for comments. in my opinion, this is the easiest to edit for the writer
