I'm starting up a fun little event that will take place over the course of every two weeks, each first week overlapping into the last week of the last challenge. Basically, I set the requirements for a team that you have to build (e.g., a Trick Room team) and participants will spend the first week constructing the team and the second week battling using the team. Legal hacks are acceptable. Whoever acquires the highest percentage of wins wins! The victor will then receive a prize. If there is a tie, a best of three series of battles will be held (the victors can negotiate the rules) to determine the victor. NOTE: This is based on an honor system, please don't lie or disconnect when you lose (or if you do disconnect, count it as a loss). The prize is negotiable as well, I will list a prize, and the victor can either negotiate or take the aforementioned prize! Also, you have to play at LEAST 20 battles in order for you to be eligible. At the end, we will post our percentages and show which of our pokemon was/were the Baton Passer(s) (in this case) and then I shall look through the results to determine the winner!

This week's challenge is: A team built around Baton Pass on at least one pokemon that is used in every battle

Prize: DW Torchic (keep in mind that this is negotiable if you want something else winners; it doesn't have to necessarily be a Pokemon either)

Also, if this is successful, I will start a new thread where you can post what you think would be a good challenge of the week.

Good idea! Should wins still be recorded in the event of a D/C?

I don't have that much time for Matchup lately, but my current team is partial BP. To make sure I'm reading the challenge correctly: We have to use the Pokemon with Baton Pass in every battle, or do we have to successfully pass in every battle?

I think if you have the opponent down to the last pokemon and clearly would win if not for the disconnect, that is OK. But I would like to propose a log of some type. List beginning record, ending record, and number of any winning (or losing) disconnects. that would at least keep bad memories out of the equation if you have to keep a tally of the DCs.
I think this should be only on Free mode, that way if someone is using rated they won't be penalized.

Yeah, if you are definitely going to win and the opponent D/Cs, count it. By "built around baton pass," I meant a team that heavily relies on baton pass for it to work well. And in regards to Free or Rated, it doesn't really matter (although there'll be less D/Cs in free). If you get a D/C and the battle is either too close to call or hasn't progressed far enough, don't count it for or against you.

Can we use smash pass?

You can use ANYTHING that revolves around baton pass. Shell smash and minimize are both acceptable.

I don't know if we need a formal sign up, but it would be nice to see that a few names of people who are going to participate. I will use the rotation team I posted in my war story.

Yeah, I was thinking about that a bit today. People who wish to participate, I would encourage that participants post here if they are participating so that I can see how successful this is. Also, at the end of next week, even if you are outdone by someone who posted before you, please post your percentage of wins.

^That's possible, but some people may (hopefully) join either part way through or haven't announced that they're "in." Unfortunately, my team's not quite ready yet, but I can probrably get it ready by next Wednesday.
