Has anyone started battling more doubles since the GBU tournament was announced?
I started battling a little yesterday with moderate success, about 60-70% win rate (if you include DCs)
My team seems kind of all or nothing, but I think that is just the nature of doubles. I am using a destiny bond team which depends heavily on KOing the 2 of the otherteams pokes while I still have at least 2. I use Explosion with normal gem, fakeout, and sucker punch to try to accomplish that. Explosion does not always do the tick, but if you have bulky pokes that are fast, or have priority, or sucker punch, explosion can eother knock out one right away or get two in red or yellow. I use prankster murkro for the destiny bond, so if Murkrow and 2 other pokes are still in it when I KO 2 of theirs, then even if they KO murkrow after his priority detsiny bond, I have an unbonded reserve to bring in and as long as I keep that reserve going 3 rounds (usually can protect for 2) then I win or get a DC 5 out of 6 times.
I am looking to try a trick room team tonight. I have 5 of the 6 pokes finished.
Don't use the excuse "I don't have a doubles team" I can pokesav/pokegen one for you and if you need an actual team idea, rip of mine.

I've started playing a lot of Doubles after ragequitting Triples, but more for preparing for April's regionals. Rain is so common, but it's okay, I can usually deal with them.

Started using a trick room doubles team I saw on Smogon with power trick shuckle. About 4 wins and 6 DCs.

After I get mah team put together, I'll need to test it on some of you gents.

Did you change you Avatar Pippy, or am I confusing you with someone else?

Would that be a Mamoswine with Thick Fat or Snow Cloak?

I pulled together a team to practice for the upcoming tournament.
I played a few battles with Mienshao, Salamence, Thundurus, Gliscor, Metagross, and Honchkrow.
After finding and winning (all D/Cs) 3 battles I found that Mence wasn't working as well as I'd hope, so I switched him out for Staraptor and am trying Sharpedo over Honchkrow and Scizor over Metagross. I think my Doubles playing is improving though!

Mine pretty much stinks. I might just sit this one out.

BA, your team needs improvement, that's all. You need more offensice and a good plan B. Your strategy is effective if you can pull it off, but it's easy to stop. Also, you need ALOT more offence. As you saw in our battle, if your opponent has Taunt or Encore (which most do) then your pretty much hosed. If you'd like, I could help you with your team if you posted it.
