Yes, this might seem painfully simple to those of you who frequent Pokecheck, but I've been getting a lot of help requests from newer users asking how to send legal Pokemon to their cartridges. This is a simple tutorial to help newer Pokecheck users get a lot more out of the site!
How to Download a Pokemon Without a Ribbon
1) Download a .pkm file. If you're using Pokecheck, there's a simple link to download the Pokemon as a file at the bottom of the page.
2) Use another Fake GTS. I reccommend using either Pokemon Selector or Shiny GTS. Both of them have their pros and cons, so I'll be explaining both quickly.
Pokemon Selector:
Pokemon Selector is simple. Plug in the DNS like you would Pokechecks, choose your .pkm file, and submit.
Shiny GTS
Shiny GTS is less friendly to newer users, but it's a great program. The UI is fairly self explanitory, the only confusing part might be the Get IP field. The button is actually kind of unneeded, just search Google for "what is my IP" and you'll have your address. Use your IP as the DNS your DS connects to. From there, start the DNS, start the GTS, and you're ready to send Pokemon to your cartridge.
3) Connect to the GTS and recieve your Pokemon. Note:
Do not enter the GTS without a full party of Pokemon. Due to the way .pkm file structures work, your file might come out a little screwy when you receive in your party (like having 0/0 HP). This effect won't happen if the Pokemon is automatically deposited in your box. You can fix this by placing your Pokemon in the Daycare, although it will lose all its attack. Rule of thumb, go to the GTS with a full party!
And that's all there is to it! Clone your Pokemon without an Action Replay or participate in CC4wifi without Pokegen/sav!
