It doesn't matter whether or whether not it worked; the goal of utilizing such a gimmick Pokemon is to temporarily forget about the seriousness and perplexity of competitive Pokemon and let loose your inner personality that just begs to use Rollout Shuckle. Go on, then; don't be shy - name that gimmicky superweapon you've used in battle before!

Agility Lanturn (I've seen some mentions of it).

Rock Polish Donphan (I think it's outclassed by Aggron for sure now due to Head Smash).
ResTalk Serene Grace Thunder/Fire Blast Blissey.
Choice Band Ninetales.
Bold Mantine (goes ResTalk).
Sassy ResTalk Spiking Cacturne.
Life Orb Steelix (I think it's supposedly BaitLix).
Agility Arcanine.

I have used special Gyarados for fun. I think I used DD Latios once, and I think I tried Belly Drum passing to Blissey...

I used Swords Dance Roserade before. I usually slept something and Swords Danced on the switch.

I also used a Bulky Chesto Feraligatr. Just Dragon Dance like 2-3 times, then rest. Sweep from there lol.

I used Ominous Wind Parafusion Rotom in rain. Thunder + Confusion Ray make the parafusion combo, and while they are dazzled, try and get an Ominous Wind boost lol.

My friend Mforz used a Special Wall Parasect, a support Seaking with Knock Off/Icy Wind, and many others before lol.

TBH, I haven't tried this yet. However a Stallrein set like Brine/Super Fang/Substitute/Protect seems extremely viable. Hail teams are underatted, and can really wreck.

My favorite Gimmick:

Lv1 Smeargle @ Focus Sash:

~ Spore
~ Trick Room
~ Endeavor
~ Dragon Rage

It needs some Spin support and works best on a Trick Room team. It can incapacitate an opponent and set up Trick Room, then Endeavor + Dragon Rage takes over. Even at Max HP(12), Even opponents with leftovers will fall to Dragon Rage unless they have Maxed Base130+ HP.

You may or may not consider this "Gimmicky" but I've never seen it used and it actually works quite well.

Spite

Spite is a very underrated move. With Umbreon being OHKO'd by pretty much nothing I can PP stall anything that might pose a threat to my team.

Sub/Roost Aerodactyl on Sandstorm Stall team.

Scarf Togekiss Lead (Completely outclassed by Jirachi, but I hate Jirachi! D:<)

Rock Polish Aggron (Sub or otherwise)

Lol RP Aggron is not a gimmick, I have swept dozens of teams with it. In fact, I was losing a match 5 - 1 against Puffern, brought Aggron in, RPed, subbed down to Liechi, swept entire team. Other things I have tried is choice band suicune and choice scarf scizor!
