First off, as pointed out in the title, I'm new to the game: feel free to smack the most obvious facts to my face.
My first attempt at creating a deck that bordered success. It was crafted for standard format, tho I'm not sure if it was S2012 or S2011.
Key cards of the deck are Primeval Titan and Green Sun's Zenith. Usually I aim simply to get Titan out as fast as I can, since with it I can build excessive amount of forests to slam my hand on the board and utilize Zenith as a toolbox to fetch anything that might be of use from the deck. (At which point I would've lost to any competitive deck already, if I have got it right.)
The titan also serves as a deck thinner and lessens the amount of dead draws this deck is prone into running due to the amount of Forests.
The actual mana ramp cards probably need little explaining. You're probably familiar with Llanowar + Archdruid turn 3 6 mana -combo and simple stuff like that. Yes, Mimic Vat is there pretty much just for the Titan, unless I need emergency exiling. All the 1x cards are there just to make maximum use of Zenith: I can fit in many cards (and thus have many options when having Zenith and spare mana) into relatively little room. That makes deck very weak to removal tho. Also, I have no way to deal with Platinum Angel.
