Battling 101

Hey, my name is Niklas Henkel, I m 22 years old and from germany.
I m new to these forums, at least from a participating point of view
and urgently looking for a doubles BW OU tutor since I want to
participate in the upcoming International Challenge!

I just barely missed the applications for you current tutor program
and since you are partially responsible for the double tutoring, I figured
my best shot at getting in contact with someone motivated and competent

Tell us a little about yourself: I m currently studying law in leipzig, Pokemon has managed to keep under the radar of my competition oriented life since it snuck in so early and kept being part of my life for 15 years casually. I waited the later half of last year for BW2 to come out, since I didnt want to spent a lot of time into BW1, when I could have at least a halfway "fresh" start. I m a highly motivated, philosophical and clever person that learns and adapts very quickly.

Usually I would rather look for contacts with decent players to share and learn from, but since my actual competetive experience with pokemon solely lies in event coverage, forum threads, videos and the likes, I figured I d best be humble and look for an actual tutor to learn from.

So if for any reason you have someone in mind that can tutor me, or if not, a person
that is unofficially willing to help a quick minded person pick up the basics as well as the advanced skillsets, I d be very grateful.

Of course being thrown such a bone it would be only natural to show my gratitude
in one way or another. For example writing a very detailed high quality tutee talk or participating in the next tutor program officially?

Why you should be accepted to tutor: I do consistently well on the ladder, and I'm a great team builder. I am a great teacher and dedicated to seeing others improve themselves. Tell us a little about yourself: Been into Pokemon since I was a kid. I've played all of the Gameboy/DS games except for the 2nd and 3rd generations. I play competitive in the TCG scene and want to get into the competitive world in the video games. Personal Profile: Hey there, I'm Far Canal (ON PS) ^__^ i'm 18 and I have been playing pokemon since red/blue/yellow, which means i've been playing for most of my life! I'm addicted to pokemon, one of those people who easily maxes the hours on every cartridge, and then spends even more time on PS.
I play alot of RU with people like The Captain and Rust.
I've done a little bit of tutoring for players in some of the BA (Bald Accountant) groups here on smogon, for OU, but I haven't really put myself out like this before.

I think I would be a good tutor because helping is second nature, I enjoy playing a prediction based game, and team building. I'm one of those people who will spend hours and hours team building, testing and editing teams, rather than just using 1 team and laddering. I find that through this though, I find more ways to overcome specific threats, and ways to play around the general meta. Plus it's fun to beat OU teams with an RU team =)

Why should you be accepted to tutor?

I think I would be a good tutor because I can explain and help people. I can extend my methods of tutoring from Calculus and Chemistry to Pokemon, so the tutee(sp?) can learn the best, which is have them try it, but be available if they make a mistake or start to question something. Right now my actual battling time is a bit constrained right now due to college and upcoming exams. However, I'm knowledgeable in both tiers above, but more RU than NU. Why should you be accepted to tutor? I'm a good player who is very experienced with the OU metagame, and I want to help other players be as good as they can. I'm an avid team builder, making top 100 for OU's Dark Horse project 12 times, and am familiar with teambuilding for every common playstyle.

I want to get more people involved in BW2 UU by spreading my wealth of knowledge of the tier. I have consistently topped the underused ladder, per-hail, post-hail, it really doesn't matter. Also. I am currently a finalist in the OU Calvary 3 tournament, which is pretty much a BW2 UU tournament. Can't think of anything else to say here.

I'd like to tutor someone and pass on what I know about the world of Pokemon (battles). I'm well versed in each and every individual Pokemon, Types (What's good against what and what attacks and Pokemon will help you be prepared against most threats offensively and defensively), and I'm particularly good at using unorthodox movesets to great effect. I'm best at OU battling due to playing it the most, but I'm pretty good with NU. RU and UU (especially after the huge power shift this gen) I haven't played to much, but when I do I'm pretty good, whether I have experience enough.
