8 feet would mean the snow would be high enough to complete block your front door and any windows on the first floor. And I would definitely expect a cave-in too.

And, the largest snowfall ever in one day in Nebraska was only 2 feet. And it was in 1939.

8-12 feet of snow on Omaha? Ummm...I honestly don't think that's happening.
