Perhaps, but:
a) since I don't RNG the chances that I get something with perfect IVs are... well, you know.
and
b) the rules SPEFICIALLY SAY no backseat or mini moderating. So however well, or poor, intentioned these minimods are they're not helping.

I'm not saying we should STOP RNGing. However, I am saying 2 things:
1. Those people who do RNG can and should (and apparently do) spread the love. I'd be all for giving away pokemon w/ 3-4 max Ivs I've bred (except I can't offer them because I don't know ALL of their IVs), but several people have offered to clone and trade me pokemon (in the future...hasn't happened yet) for nothing, so this is the right way to do it.
2. There is far too many people backseat moderating because they suspect my stuff - which is no more unrealistic than other people's stuff - is fake. And backseat moderating is against the rules, and for good reason.

I said it SEEMS like cheating to me.
At the end of the day these are games. I hate to say it, but it's one thing to breed a pokemon w/ some max IVs with the power items, it's quite a different to manipulate the RNG to get perfect IVs. One is playing the game, one is manipulating the game. It's as legal as "tweeking" a Darkrai is. It's using the game's programming against the spirit of the game.

I'm not in favor of tweaking, pokesav, cheating via action replay (although again, I clone w/ action replay so...), or the like.

That said, it's painfully clear that I don't have anything to offer on this forum. I guess I just need to bumb some pokemon off of those people who "RNG" themselves perfect pokemon. :/

Seems like witchcraft to me. :P Well... seems like cheating, honestly. But I clone events, so I guess I'm no better. I guess I'll just have to refraing from EV training anything less than perfect from now on... :(

Let's face facts - there are FAR too many "perfect IVs" and "near perfect Ivs" on this forum to be the result of mere cloning alone.

It took me the better part of a day to get a modest outstanding squirtle with 3 max IVs - and that's with a perfect ditto and an outstanding father w/ the wrong nature.

You're telling me that someone out there has a dozen perfect IV shiny pokemon w/ the right nature? And that they're 95% not hacked? No offense, but Smogon seems to be far more ripe w/ hackers than those other forums... if only because those other forums don't SPECIALIZE in pokemon w/ max IVs.

Besides that, statistical guestimates about the probability of your near perfect pokemon being hacked is just dumb. It's got all of the bravado of a college nerd bragging about his school's basketball team despite never seeing a game.
