Yeah, there's a short first timer. Pikatimer lets you change the amount of seconds it lasts, with 5 as default.

You have to remember that most people are doing this on an emulator so they won't be able to SR and start the timer at the same exact time.

It's pretty much the same as 4th gen, however you actually enter the game the game and prepare to perform certain actions (like hitting A at the Daycare man after he says "take good care of it").

Pikatimer has target frame, seconds before reset, calibrated time, and "other frame". Pikatimer's 3rd gen timer works fairly well, except for the fact that you have to use beeps instead of the visual mode. I do have to say, visual mode makes it so much more precise.

And I'd love to test it. :)

Third generation is all frames, which pass by at 60 Hz. The seed is always 0. So less calculations would be needed.

And most people RNG on an emulator, so they'll need to be able to open some other window while the timer is going, as well as have a reasonable amount of time to pull up the emulator window, and hit the buttons necessary for a soft reset.

Just 3rd gen implementation. I have to use Pikatimer for that. :(

Other than that, it works really well. Half the time I hit the delay I'm going for on my first try.

Well, at least now I'm getting matches from the adjacent results although I'm not sure I'm doing the call check up properly or there's something I'm missing. Is the check up supposed to only have nine options? If so, why then does the results give ten calls? How am I supposed to do that? :S

But yeah, thanks for your tips and the timer, it did make a change for good :) Hopefully by the end of the night I'll be able to get my latios ^_^

Nvm, nvm you probably mean delay range :P

Thanks mate, I will try that. Just one quick question: +/-50 what? Target Seconds?

I've found that choosing a seed with a higher target frame negates the problem, and doesn't take that much longer to do (anything in the 20s). So I won't worry about it anymore.
