It would seem so. Unfortunately, some Japanese players end the trade as soon as it starts just because I have an English game (Even though I have about ~300 trades on my counter), but I understand since I've not once found even a single good USA player yet.. I usually end the trade as soon as one starts with USA, Canadian, or European players, they never have anything good.
Usually I'm reluctant to tell people how I get 5th gen EV'eds and good DW Pokes, for the selfish reason that there will be less good Japanese players trading with specifically me lol
And mine is PkmnNameRater, but judging by the comments (One is a few days ago, then a few months ago, and after that they're from a year ago), I don't use it much anymore. Also, you can search my name to find battles with "popular" battlers (like Xenon3120 or Haydunn) and a few other battlers as well, like AAmazing0 or Sharktamer (but I was horrible when I battled Sharktamer)
