You know how in gen 4 for Method 1 mons each frame listed a PID along with IVs because they were linked? In gen 5, they aren't linked anymore. They're more like 4th gen eggs, in that you could advance your PID with coinflips and taps and then advance your IVs with NPC movement or journal flips. It's kind of like that. At this point, if you reset and stumble across a date and time that gives good IVs, you can then get those same IVs on another mon and change your PID to your liking through a couple different ingame actions. Just read through the last few pages of the RNG Research thread and you'll understand.
