Yeah, I've seen that thread. It kinda got me into the Let's Playing mood and helped inspire this competition, actually ^.^

I was thinking more of a Let's Play archive for just Pokemon games, which would be OI specific (since that thread has stuff like Shadow of Colossus). Kinda like the warstory archive, but for Let's Play threads, and it could feature text based stuff as well, I dunno x.x

Irregardless, if you're looking to step up your Let's Playing, this is certainly the competition for you! Hope to see something cool from ya :P

I actually already made a Let's Play archive in the off-topic forum (current named "A FORVM"), for more than just Pokemon Let's Plays. I actually do want some deadlines and stuff though, because I'm looking to push my Let's Playing to the next level and this'd give me the push. I just hope I can figure out how to create what I have in mind in a week.

That was originally the plan in this thread, but there were concerns about people losing interest in a 2+ month competition, as well people eager to do this much faster. Ultimately, I went with 1 week per 2 badges, which was generally settled on as a good speed in that thread and on IRC. If people have trouble making deadlines, I'll probably extend them, however.

If you're working on something that is very detailed and complex that will take more than a month to create, it might be better off as its own thread once it is completed (akin to a warstory in the Smogon Metagames forum). Actually, if enough people made good Let's Plays, I was thinking about making a Let's Play Archive anyway :P

If this competition is a bit too quick for your schedule, don't worry. There are other fun competitions in the works for OI ^.^
