That sounds different than "Desolate's idea is good; we should do that." I have no special claim to my badge that others can't make too.
how can you qualify two users as deserving or not? honestly you cant. i participated in like 4/5 suspect tests, and all of them were an achievement. i can't honestly say any of them were easy. now i cant hold the badge for my efforts because i dont know how to play ru or dw (a tier that isn't even released by (nintendo). do i not deserve the badge because it's not available in a metagame (the main metagame) because i can't play those other tiers? i think its pretty amusing if i shouldn't feel some sort of entitlement for my hard work
your post said (paraphrased) "the users that had the badge don't deserve it anymore, but users that went above and beyond deserve it" which is fine if you have a real criteria to define "above and beyond". there are several users that still have the badge or alumnus version who wouldn't be considered "above and beyond". therefore, one could infer you mean that the badge should be given to whoever admins feel like, which is essentially what is going on right now.
