There's a lot of backup right now, and there's a huge demand for official grammar checks. I think that in the RU subforum alone there's like 8 analyses that need checking.

I'm considering applying myself, but I usually only do amateur checks on the stuff needs to be done basis. Although it would speed up the process if I could do official checks .

It's fine. The quicker you can get on the GP team, the better.
