I don't want my different speaking style to interfere with wanting to be part of GP, though T_T I've been working really hard to improve.

I live in Minnesota; Dad was from India, Mom is from Sierre Leone, Africa, and spoke Krio as a first language, but learned English as my sole language now, since mom didn't think speaking krio was good for my grammar. I haven't spoken that language in nearly 10 years, so I no longer have memory of the words, however, I still have some of those speaking patterns.

Will do! Thank you, I'll keep improving, I'll read over the spelling and grammar standards properly. Hopefully one of my checks can be stamped! =)

it doesn't matter that they get sniped, and you shouldn't have been either as an am checker

yes it is a rule, a gper shouldn't have to wait for an am checker to do a check, it just slows down the whole process

I live in central Illinois, about 30 away from Mackinaw.

since is fine, especially when using "as" would make the sentence sound weird if you were to speak it. Don't change every instance to as.
