I haven't battled in about two or three months. No idea why, I just have not

Well, unfortunately we're not really a tutor group. We're mostly a group for more advanced levels of play, so I'm not sure if you'd be a good fit for the group. I'm sorry... If I were you, I'd try to get a better grasp of competitive battling by looking around the forums and learning how the game works. You might also want to try testing out teams you make on Pokemon Showdown, so you can get firsthand experience. Once you get some more knowledge of competitive battling, then we may let you into the group. Ok?

Oh, and in case you don't already know, the reason Hi Jump Kick from a Blaziken would do more to Kyorgre than Thunder Punch is because of how STAB and Super effective damage is calculated. Super effective attacks are doubled in power, so Thunder Punch would go from being a 75 base power move to a 150 base power move. STAB boosts a move's power by 50%, so a STAB Hi Jump Kick would go from being a 130 base power move to a 195 base power move. As you can see, Hi Jump Kick is stronger than Thunder Punch after those calculations, and as a result, Hi Jump Kick would do more damage to Kyogre than Thunder Punch would. Hope that helped.
