  • What is the de broglie wavelength of the nucleus in the context of a single atom system?
    In a crystal?
I'm not complaining about the latter part, but it's tangentially related to a tangentially related topic IF you can prove your first comment.

I felt obligated to respond because I did not want to make it seem I was just bandying around jargon that I did not understand on a basic level.

I don't know about condensed matter physics, but wiki explicitly stated that neutral atoms do have matter waves. Since the investigators were cooling to atoms to the nanokelvin range, would certainly not have enough energy to ionize them.
Hello! Judging by the previous two messages, I'm not entirely sure if you respond to these, but if you had the time I'd like to have a bit of a discussion with you, although I didn't exactly want to post it in the now month old thread.

Hmm, actually I just had some questions for you. I was wondering, since you said apologetic arguments really didn't do it for you, what made you decide to convert? Were you just that heavily impressed during your encounter with that lady?

I got your PM, I'll send a response later since I am at school right now, haha.
I saw your post in the college grad thread... reminded me of myself! I worked in a immunology lab for a bit but couldn't see myself working in "pure" science research - not much point in researching the binding mechanism for an obscure variant of T cell receptor. eventually thought of engineering, and now I'm applying for bioengineering... have you considered it at all?
