  1. Pokémon Goodra [REVAMP]

So is Modest/Adamant pretty much the way to go? Why not Relaxed or Sassy? And Hydration and Gooey seem to have their uses. Has anyone found Sap Sipper to be any good or is it mostly gimmicky?
  2. Stallwart (A UU Stallfense Team)

I think Spikes could fit even on a Choice Specs set. Slightly riskier of course, but Extrasensory doesn't seem to provide much.
  3. Stallwart (A UU Stallfense Team)

Have you considered at all putting Spikes on Roserade in place of Extrasensory? Your team forces a lot of switches it seems, and it would probably be helpful to have something other than SR to take advantage of. She can easily force out a switch from an unsuspecting opponent and get a layer or...
  4. What's wrong with the metagame?

I'm just going to point out that for many people, winning IS fun. Playing to win and playing for fun are not mutually exclusive.
  5. My first Gen V UU team

Replacing Registeel with Nidoqueen may necessitate changing Zapdos to another Pokemon. Registeel and Zapdos are probably the two I am most willing to change. Any suggestions?
  6. My first Gen V UU team

    1. The thing is that Stealth Rock seems really really really good. I'm not entirely willing to give it up for Umbreon even with its wonderful support set. 2. Yeah I tend to be biased towards defensive teams. My win condition is simply taking down key Pokemon by wearing them down slowly with...
  7. My first Gen V UU team

In past generations of Pokemon I've typically always played in the OU tier. This generation's OU is not my favorite, so I've decided to venture into UU. However, I've had no experience with UU except for a few threads I read on the Smogon metagames section of this forum. This is my first Gen V...
  8. Surprise Sweeper Sun Team- First RMT

I'm a bit confused as to why you are using Roost on a Choice set, when Stealth Rock takes off 50% of Charizard's HP. I'm not seeing what you gain from the move. As a method of dealing with Heatran, why not try Hidden Power [Ground] on Venusaur or Charizard.
  9. What's wrong with the metagame?

As someone who actually prefers to play defensive/Stall teams, this hyper offense metagame is BORING, plain and simple.
  10. Frameworks and Redundancies in OU Teambuilding

Interesting. I've always considered a ghost almost mandatory on any stall team since stall teams get a large amount of damage from forcing switches + entry hazards. I guess most teams these days don't have a rapid spinner though?
  11. OU - Tanks

You have four unused EVs on most of your Pokemon.
  12. How is my team?

I'll second the advice from Ehrmantraut. Stealth Rock is probably one of the best (if not the best) moves in the game. Switching is pretty common, and the rocks do anywhere from 6% to 50% damage on a switch. Over the course of a normal game that's a ton of free damage. It punishes opponents for...
  13. How is my team?

Perhaps you should edit the changes into the opening post.
  14. How is my team?

You are the same decaying organic matter as everybody else in the world. Using an objectively inferior item will not make you a special snowflake that will forever be remembered. There's a huge difference between effective creativeness, and being different for the sake of being different. Why...
  15. Hydration Abuse?!?

Is there any reason you chose Ice Beam on Jynx instead of Psychic? Both have STAB, but Psychic would not be resisted by the majority of opposing rain/sun teams. I suppose as your only attacking move nothing resists Ice while things do resist Psychic though.
