They work the same, except they only advance the frame by 1, and you can make synchronize on them (which may produce earlier spreads). By using the "Seed to Time" function of RNG Reporter, you can find the times for different spreads. It's a tad unrelated to the topic, but I believe you can...

The OP says that the Journal advances by 2, and talking to a 'mon usually advances the RNG by 1, right? So, what can be done with even frames (say, 200)? 1 + any amount of 2s makes an odd number, after all.

Well, I'm calibrating, and I've gotten 593, 599, 607, 609, 611, 613 (not in that order, obviously). Seems a bit of a wide range; how long should I keep going to narrow it down, or should I just go by the standard 600-610?

Not quite. The OP mentions that by using coin flip, you can check whether you've hit the right delay and whatnot. But I can't figure out how to get my seed (CC0502A9) to show up in RNG Reporter. I've found it by searching the same frame, with the same IVs, but isn't there anyway to simply search...
