  1. Zygarde Discussion

Isn't a core problem with Power Construct that its so predictable? What can 10% or 50% do against accurate predictions?
  2. Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKIII *Official Media Only*

Yes it does because its based on the deformed and terribly unhealthy Persian Cat that human beings, in real life, bred to be so borked in the face. I like it in the fact that it sheds light on terrible human breeding issues associated with dog and cat fancy that is ultimately absurd and terrible.

Something just dawned on me. So the interesting thing about the Alolan formes is that its most likely that you can only bring one version of them so long as Species clause is in effect! No RedOni/BlueOni motif with Ninetales :(
  4. Pokemon Generations: Anime shorts series featuring game highlights from all generations

Pretty neat. I was going to ignore these but I actually enjoy these much more than the Anime. I like the fact that it is in the game-verse. Anyone thinking that Giovanni may actually come back?
  5. Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKII

See if we want to interpret real physics 1:1, sure, Ice couldn't resist lukewarm water . . . unless it was really really cold. But maybe that's the point its not 1 to 1 with real world physics. Ice Pokemon are particularly frigid and if Water is capable of ALWAYS being super-effective to fire...
  6. Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKII

I find it interesting that they specifically had this wording in the trailer: "Relive Mega-Evolutions". Seems to be both no new megas and a hint that they're currently done with that tangential type of evolution. Which, in many ways, is a shame. Excepting a few OP ones I did enjoy Megas. Who...
  7. Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKII

    I've wondered this myself.
  8. Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKII

See the recent VJump video shows a silver bottle cap being used on three different Garchomps to max all of their attack IVs. They then suggest that a gold one might exist and raise multiple stats. But no mention of bronze ones which makes me worry about the incremental ability of these bottle...
  9. Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKII

In b4 this is Red's Kid. (kinda expecting it now) On a more serious note . . . the first trailer they had showed a Japanese kid moving to Hawaii. While it appeared at the time to be a reference of Pokemon transcending language and cultural barriers to make everyone friends (five of my teeth...
  10. Gen VII: Pokémon Sun and Moon (New info Post #5834)

A combination of technological limitations and realizing they could re-release the older games on the updated engine. Now, is Pikaboo really this gen's Pika clone? Togedemaru is clearly the pika-clone. So can anyone fill in the 'fifth move' and super moves shtick?
  11. Gen VII: Pokémon Sun and Moon (New info Post #5834)

Pikaboo was a coined name for a theoreized/wishlisting dead Ghost Pikachu or, after Marill proved that Pikachu knock-offs were going to come every-gen, that they'd make a Ghost typed knock off. I'm digging this one. Hope Disguise is an opening for form changes pre-battle not during battle...
  12. Gen VII: Pokémon Sun and Moon (New info Post #5834)

I'm not for this whole, incremental game business. (well actually I am but that was a concept for my mobile/pokemon-esque game :) ) But honestly, I think the target audience of Pokémon does it well to release in iterations. That new group of young children always are getting a fresh, but...
  13. Gen VII: Pokémon Sun and Moon (New info Post #5834)

You still are discussing things. Marketing is a fickle thing in the internet age. Any thing can become viral and spread to everyone. Look at BvS; they basically gave the audience everything important with the few trailers to the point were people we thinking, and somewhat correctly, that the...
  14. [DONE] KANTO CLASSIC: Post your results!

I envy you so much. I really wanted to use Porygon but just ruled him out as ineffective. My favorite mon I brought along was Primeape. He had Final Gambit. A move that people rarely account for and allows him to clear opponents many would expect him to be unable to touch. Ended 20-10. At...

Is this true for defense as well? That is it uses the active mons defense?
