I'm actually surprised SR isn't used more. Assuming only one pokemon per team carries it, the move will be on 1/6 of all movesets if every team had stealth rock. That's 16,66(and so on)% if you didn't know, which is quite a lot more than ~10%. By those numbers, about 3/5 teams have SR. More...

Next time don't rush it and be more thorough before expecting us to spend time on your team.

I think we should let the hype die down before drawing any conclusions. The perceived centralisation caused by Platinum may very well just be a phase, rather than the metagame going down the gutter (depending on who you ask) indefinitely.

Excellent post Jetx. I've never given much thought to Ho-oh's placement, but you make a strong argument for trying it in OU, imo. Fire/Flying isn't a very good defensive typing and though Ho-oh's defences are most impressive, it's not going to outclass Blissey anytime soon. A max/max+ Ho-oh...

@Lemmiwinks MkII As I said, it looks good on paper. I'm not saying Skymin isn't dangerous - it can deal a lot of damage if you're not prepared for it and those carrying HP Ice have given me problems - but I currently don't think it's even close to living up to the hype.

Actually, I disagree. In my experience, the Skymins that work are the Skymins that rely on brute force, sporting HP Ice and Earth Power to deal with likely switch-ins like Heatran and Dragonite. Subseed may look good on paper, but it simply doesn't work that well. Skymin isn't much more...
