Lightningrod has its merits. It makes Sceptile (mostly) immune to paralysis, as well as absorbing Volt Switch, killing some of your opponents momentum, while also boosting sp. atk. Not the best, but far from useless

Scizor will definitely give M-Diancie some problems, as will anything with a good Steel move like Bullet Punch, but why Talonflame? Rock resists both of its stabs, and I'd imagine Steel Wing isn't all that common on it.

Really digging MegaGross. As others have pointed out, Tough Claws seems like the most likely candidate for a new ability. Which combines nicely with Clear Body for a switch in without fearing Intimidate and Sticky Web. Levitate seems plausible, but Beldum and Metang were already shown floating...

As a more dedicated passer, absolutely. But I think Hawlucha gets some really unique coverage out of Stab Fighting/Flying, and can break through a lot of walls. Passing with him is more of a bonus, and a way to keep momentum in your favor.

I would say the originals, if only for the nostalgic quality of the 8-bit music. I don't know what it is, but there's a quaint warm feel to it, and its always fun to reminisce. But HG/SS are definitely the better games, so I just hack in the GB Sounds and get the best of both worlds
