Complicated, when you aren't used to it. Broken, probably. The main issue with Pendulum summoning is consistency. As of this point in time, it isn't the most consistent way to play a deck and can still be outdone by the current top meta stuff. Of course, this is Yugioh so that will change soon...

Cammy is one of those interesting cases where as a character in the most basic sense of the term, she is very popular, but as a used character in the game she gets a lot of hate. The love mostly comes from her design and aesthetic, whereas the hate for her comes more from her play style. So in...

Well, at least now we have confirmation that it is only selectable in offline mode, so no need to worry about online spam off all our favourite broken things
  4. General Fighting Game Discussion

While it will be a stupidly fun casual game mode, I can't see it being in any way healthy for the competitive nature of the game (especially online). Would have to assume that in tournament it would be edition locked to Ultra though...
  5. Yu-Gi-Oh! Discussion: Mark 2

All I really have to say about the actual list is that it seems like we are in for an interesting format. Has most of the big hits we were expecting, with less of the random returns (i.e. Trish and Gorz moves). We are definitely in for a backrow heavy format though without Heavy to discourage...
  6. Yu-Gi-Oh! Discussion: Mark 2

Not saying that hitting Teus won't hurt Mermails, it obviously will, but to say hitting Teus kills their consistency is a bit much. They had perfectly good consistency before they had Teus. If they wanted to hurt consistency, they would have hit Dragoons.
  7. Yu-Gi-Oh! Discussion: Mark 2

I am kind of surprised at how they decided to hit Mermails, I mean Sphere was obvious (and even though I play Mermail, I agree it was needed), but Teus is a bit random. Sure it is the easiest of the level 7s to summon, but it was never really the greatest problem card, but I guess Konami thought...

Sangan to forbidden isn't that odd if you think about it. It hits the consistency of both Rescue Rabbit and Tour Guide without actually completely destroying their usability. Only thing on that list that I really find odd is Zenmaity to forbidden, it really wasn't the problem with the deck at...

Because it can give you that small amount of help when you are top decking? I am not saying it is the best choice, but with that in mind, it is a deck that Sinister Serpent can quite obviously be used with should the player choose to do so, and is quite a solid example of how Sinister Serpent is...

Except, you know, Mermails can use it to help lessen the burden of summoning Megalo, or to basically erase the search cost for Abysspike (or Abyssteus if that starts seeing use). Then there is the fact that it can work quite well in a large majority of decks that have some reliance on discard...

Yes and no really. While they do have a really good match up against Chaos Dragons for the most part, they have a pretty variable match up against Inzektors and Dino-Rabbit and an absolutely terrible match up against Dark Worlds. The large amount of back row hate in this format really hurts them...

Most definitely, looks like it should be pretty good, even with my average at best skill level when it comes to fighting games.

Still playing GKs, and have been seeing a lot more of them recently, which is a little strange. Tier 1 decks are quite annoying (though a good opening seems to shut down Wind-Ups pretty nicely), but I doubt I am going to move away from GKs any time soon. 2 Torrential Tribute seems to be working...

Can't believe I actually forgot about that, obviously shows how much it bothered me. I am inclined to agree with you though, the FGC has enough problems without throwing away what little it has for a gimmick.
  15. General Fighting Game Discussion

Yep, that was the result. It was kind of hard to say just from watching the match whether they threw it or not, Jago made some obvious mistakes, but they could be attributed to unfamiliarity with the game. I don't really know, but as long as it isn't happening in proper tournaments, I don't...
