Actually, agriculture in its earliest state was dependent upon no other invention or tool. The idea of planting something with the intention of growing it for your own use was revolutionary, and was without a doubt the most impacting invention of history.

Speaking technically, the common ancestor of human and apes has, for a long time, been extinct and replaced by the more modern species. Therefore I feel that using a term that describes modern creatures to describe a creature that no longer exists is kind of confusing/pointless.

But even Evolution doesn't suggest we evolved "from" apes, sir. To suggest so is just foolishness.
