  1. Mew

Growth gives +2 to both attacking stats in the sun.
  2. Here Comes The Sun!

I said fire blast into shandeera. He'll resist it then trap you. Politoed can take energy balls all day. You'd still need to switch out and let him get a free turn, although he'd get one turn more. Remember, you're just thinking of the worst case scenario. I'm sure exeguttor for example can't...
  3. Golurk

Skarmory has always been a dick anyway.
  4. Here Comes The Sun!

I really think people are a bit narrow-minded when it comes to solarbeam. "Tyranitar/politoad might switch in on it". That's like saying you shouldn't use fire blast with heatran, cause then scarf shandeera can trap you and ohko you wih hp ground. Sure, nintales is a key asset to the team, so...
  5. Blissey

yeah, but I mean if a stab cc barely does more than 50%, then even some non-stab super powers from stuff like mamoswine or wargle won't be able to keep up with it. Even a non-stab fighting move from a strong attacker will be enough, you'll need to have stab physical fighting on your team.
  6. Golurk

Gyro ball would basically only be for flying types and bugs though, since hammer arm/shadow punch/earthquake is better against any other type. I would deifnitely like to see a log, moe1216, as I really can't see a niche in this guy.
  7. Harvest

Well, it does fit better on a bulky pokemon than on a sweeper, and tropius is bulky (at least his base stats, can't say much about his typing). With lum berry he can rest forever. I was just thinking, what if for example dragonite could have harvest and multi-scales at the same time? The...
  8. Freefall

It's an amazing move. While fly/dig/dive forces you to use protect, this one forces the enemy to use protect. And we know that predicted protects can be abused, by setting up hazards, statting up etc. That's also why fly/dig/dive suck so much, protects can be abused. With freefall, the...
  9. Blissey

What I'm really scared of is if infernape close combat can't OHKO chansey, then what can? It's basically the attack most specialized vs blissey, and it still doesn't OHKO
  10. Simple Beam

And plus, breloom was not a good example. He has spored one of your team members, gotten behind a sub on the switch. You've sacrificed a pokemon to get rid of his sub (by him focus punching you). You get the opportunity to switch in something fast to do something about him. You simple beam him...
  11. Blissey

I've heard pre-evo chansey can take an infernape CC. So blissey should be able to take any non-boosted non-fighting move, right? Maybe my sources are wrong though.
  12. Blissey

Just wondering, noone seems to use counter with blissey, even though she's the perfect pokemon to use it (high hp, low def, attracts physical attacks). Basically, she just needs to be damaged about 25% of her life to ohko the enemy.
  13. Keldeo [available from June 23rd to August 31st]

Enough with every pokémon getting cheer up have someone say that it can have cheer up. Cheer up is a sucky move in general. Electivire has a meditate set, yes, but that's because his hits are always just a bit short. It's specialized for him. For 95% of the pokemon, 1 turn for +1 isn't worth...
  14. Golurk

He does have some nice immunities the others don't have though. And he'll be usable in nu/uu
  15. Golurk

Well, on the subpuncher set, focus punch is better. I guess if you want an immediate attack, you could have it on top of foocus punch, but then sub + focus punch + shadow punch + hammer arm would leave no room for eq. On the noguard set, might as well use dynamicpunch
