  1. Sandstorm without Gliscor? ...Huh?

The only use for Metal Burst would be as a suicide, to at least do SOMETHING. For example, let's say hazards are up on my side, and Aron is in against an Excadrill. I'm definitely not going to let him set up, and he's seen what Aron does, so he's not going to waste a turn using Swords Dance...
  2. Sandstorm without Gliscor? ...Huh?

You can also cripple it with any status besides Poison, or just Spikes/SR. Google led me to one thread that talked about a POSSIBLE ban, but didn't have anything conclusive. So for now I don't see too much of a reason to dump him. Regirock and Skarmory are probably going to get replaced...
  3. Sandstorm without Gliscor? ...Huh?

(sigh) Well, shame on me for having nice things. IN THAAAAAT CAAAAAAAAASE Alakazam and Gliscor are almost definite additions to the team. If I used Gliscor as a physical wall, then Skarmory would get the boot, and that involves a whole new mess of changes.
  4. Sandstorm without Gliscor? ...Huh?

I probably would do it if I had access to PokeSav or the Dream World, but I can't get to either one. I've tried using PokeGen, but that doesn't work either, and PokeGTS doesn't pass hack checks for Dream World abilities (i.e. the game will actually "correct" them to a different weird ability; I...
  5. Sandstorm without Gliscor? ...Huh?

Endeavor can be bred onto a male Aron/Lairon/Aggron, who can then learn Metal Burst by level-up and pass both moves down to the lv1 Aron egg. Protect and Toxic are both TM moves. So actually, it IS legal.
  6. Sandstorm without Gliscor? ...Huh?

Thank ye kindly, sir. As much as I love to bluff a Choice item with Superpower, it's not getting the damage I need it to, so I'm probably going to switch over to this set. Also, I thought recently that I might pick up Choice Specs Alakazam to help with my blaring Ftg weakness. Any thoughts about...
  7. Sandstorm without Gliscor? ...Huh?

Oh wow, sorry about that shade of yellow.
  8. Sandstorm without Gliscor? ...Huh?

Now that I obviously grabbed your attention, take a look at this. I use a lot of unconventional stuff here, and it's worked pretty well for me until today. Let's just say my 5th gen win/lose used to be 42/4, and now it's 42/14. That's why I'm making this RMT; so that everyone can tell me to run...
  9. Raichu's Legacy lives on with Thundurus

The team doesn't look terribad, but there's something that might give you some problems. If ever you should lose your own Thundurus, an enemy NP Thundurus would do a good job at decimating you. Cloyster seems to be a bit of a suicidally offensive lead, so he wouldn't be around to have a Shell...
  10. General Mixed Tiers Team, Needs To Upgrade

Oh wow, those pictures are way bigger than i thought they would be.
  11. General Mixed Tiers Team, Needs To Upgrade

At A Glance: Even with the decent amount of time I've been in the serious metagame (since Plat), I'm a terrible, TERRIBLE team builder. The last team I tried was Trick Room, which was a favorite strategy of mine in 4th gen, and that recent team just got 5-0ed 15 minutes ago by...
  12. A Slightly Gimmicky Hyperoffensive Team

Wow, it's been forever since I was on Smogon. DarkVisions, I see now that I wasn't really clear on what I meant by a "Breloom counter." Here's what I actually mean, one of these two situations: either bomb-Gross takes the sleep at no personal cost, activates sleep clause, and trades his spot in...
  13. A Slightly Gimmicky Hyperoffensive Team

No prob Shiny. I appreciate the advice. I am gonna stick with my Kingdra anyways though, since I like it quite a lot and it's great for Gyarados.
  14. A Slightly Gimmicky Hyperoffensive Team

Thanks for the advice, these are changes that do need to happen. The only bit I disagree with is the absolute necessity of entry hazards, as I can often get on just fine without them, but I do think that subbing Gliscor is a wonderful idea anyway as it deals with Zapdos very nicely. I will...
  15. Cool Beans OU RMT

Gliscor: Typical Gliscor fare, pretty solid lead. However, it seems a bit vulnerable to getting Tricked a Scarf; if I had a scarfed lead, I would Trick it pronto and take a free switch, perhaps inhibiting your SR in the process. Especially with what seems to me to be an increasing number of...
