I avoided...
  2. Pokemon Showdown bug reports

Opponent's Heatran used protect, I used Fire Blast, he still got the Flash Fire boost. According to the smogon page on Flash Fire, you only get the boost if you get hit by the move.
  3. Pokémon Snap Discussion

What are some of your first memories of Pokémon Snap? When did you buy this game? How old were you when you first played it? How long have you enjoyed this game? Man, brings back memories, I remember buying it second hand when I was around 13 maybe? This game is actually really short, but I...
  4. np: UU Stage 6 - No Surprises

Considering how I've been playing stall in UU with Deoxys-D as my core, so :(. Oh well, could see it happening, Deoxys-D was pretty amazing. I did try offense/balanced, but didn't really worked considering how powerful stall was now. Now might be able to try new strats :P
  5. Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer - NU Edition

Like I said, rarely does anything uses boosting moves that only give +1 (talking about stuff like meditate or howl), so Punishment is basically 90BP or 100BP+ in most cases. Right, I can kinda see where everyone's coming from, I guess flinch rate would come in handy in those cases. It's...
  6. Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer - NU Edition

I was wondering, on Persian, wouldn't Punishment be a better choice than Bite? Rarely does anything use statup moves which only boost once, eg. CM, SD etc., as such, if the opponent is at +2, Punishment get a BP of 100. Furthermore, if the opponent doesn't boost, it's essentially the same as...
  7. BW RU Final Attack Orders (Peaked #1)

Not 100% proficient is RU, but even if your KlingKlang did setup on ferroseed, while ferro cant do anything to you, wouldn't it be the same for you, even at +6 considering iron barbs damage? Of course, unless you end up gear grinding, then stalling for leftovers recovery after each attack.
  8. Hustle

Believe or not, Delibird is quite a monster with hustle. I was trolling in Ubers with a CB Delibird, and I somehow OHKOed a Dialga with Focus Punch. I'm pretty sure the opponent underestimated my Delibird, which is why he went for rocks. iirc, CB hustle Delibird hits 514Atk, which is very...
  9. Project Mono-Type: Psychic

Surf doesn't do anything to Tyranitar, if anything, the best way for Latios to break it is on it's physical side. In addition, using Draco Meteor forces you to switch, or otherwise attack with -2 SpA. Psyshock becomes not so useful, while a mix set can then switch to physical attacks.
  10. Project Mono-Type: Psychic

Like I said, it's SpA is so good that its very usable Atk stat is so easily overlooked.
  11. Project Mono-Type: Psychic

I've noticed that psychic is a bit lacking in the mix department, apart from Azelf, there aren't really any mix attackers. EXCEPT, mixtios, a set I've been running for some time, and it's brought me great success. People focus so strongly on Latios' immense SpA, that it's very usable Atk stat...
  12. Sunny life and dragons

I agree with Slowking, Brick Break beats balloon Tran, as well as ferrothorn, which is really the only thing that walls Haxorus without Brick Break. Also, if Night Slash is only for Gengar, I recommend switching it for Dual Chop. Either way, Gengar can't take ANY of Haxorus' attacks, and EQ can...
  13. Never laugh at live dragons

Thanks for the input! The way I see, Thunder out of the rain is the same as Focus Blast, and everyone runs that anyway on things that can. At the same time, it is true that Thunder occasionally feels like its got 50% accuracy, so I'll see how that works. The current EV spread for Magnezone is...
  14. Never laugh at live dragons

Changed. I was mainly concerned about Gengar, I'll have a look at 111 Speed pokes.
