Yup! I'm not sure about the exact process but I believe there are codes you can use to determine how much your PIDRNG has advanced due to the C-Gear seeding so you know how much to advance it; without an AR I'd basically have to guess how much the C-Gear had advanced the PID before I was able to turn it off.

I guess I'll have to end up trading for most of my C-gear shinies. xD; It also means I can't breed for shinies anymore :( so sad.

Ah...and I've been chatting in the IRC and found out from the nice people there that it's in fact incredibly difficult to C-Gear RNG for shinies without an AR though it's theoretically possible, except no one to their knowledge has ever bothered doing it. I'm tempted to just try to see if it's feasible at all, but my best bet would be to learn how to RNG my SID and ID when that comes out first so that my shiny frames are very early. And that doesn't even take into account the fact that I can't verify my delay at all anymore without messing up my IV RNG by catching a wild Pokemon, since there aren't coin flips anymore. Baww.

Lol thanks xD Yeah, I don't prefer AR because I sort of feel like the whole reason for RNGing is to be able to say you got these uber Pokemon without any sort of hacking device. I don't battle much anyway though, I just like having pretty Pokemon in my boxes to use in game and to give to friends irl, they're sort of like mini-artworks LOL

Wondercard Celebi? :< Ahh. I only ever WonderCard RNGed once, and I feel like that was a lucky fluke, so that's why I've been putting off my Platinum cards xD I was always more of a breeder/wild catcher. Plus, I can't nickname Wondercarded Pokemon, and I like my nicknames. :|

Yeah, I'm still taking my time playing xD Though I did just get my 7th badge in the middle of last night (before my DS lost power yay) so I'm pretty far ahead. I think. I still have to avoid catching Reshiram till I'm ready, though. =3= It's so well written, the characters are perfect for their roles (even if Cheren is a pansy LOL)

I think C-gear...can have...? Ahh maybe I should go ask, I read that it was possible but that you might be forced to use an AR to find your PID frame (especially if it's very high and the method to advance it that high is not calculable with the naked eye)...? Bawww I want shinies without an AR ;-; And even if non-C-gear has shiny possibility that still won't help if I want shiny High Link pokemon, which are C-Gear only. :x

Yeah, isn't B/W fabulous? They really went all out with the graphics and thought their storyline through. The characters are so much more 3 dimensional than previous games'. I'm thinking of trying the C-Gear RNGing since apparently High Link / Dream World Pokemon can only be RNGed that way, so might as well get it over with. I do look forward to non-C-gear RNGing, though. *o* I just wish I had learned how to RNG my SID and TID, which we apparently aren't allowed to talk about yet, heheh.

I also have a ton of Wondercards unclaimed in Platinum :( It's a pity, I'm so lazy now. I like how we can hold up to 12 cards in B/W, this'll be far more convenient for my laziness.

If you're asking for the old emloop guide I wrote, I think it's still near the bottom of the original DPPT thread which has since been renamed to "Most Generation Help" (http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52180)

The point of using emloop was actually to avoid having to ever change your years to ugly improbable numbers anyway though, so years weren't taken into account for Emloop either - the very action of timing your resets to affect your delays made year changing itself obsolete. I'd actually recommend using EonTimer, written by a nice member here. I haven't started my B/W RNGing yet but I've looked at the EonTimer and it basically streamlines everything we had to do for Emloop and it does the calculations for you, so it's really much simpler. Ubisoft tipped us off to a new Flash game they've made to promote Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. Now, it may just be that I've been playing a lot of Tomena Sanner lately but I think this is damn good.

You can check out the game here. I do recommend it. A surprisingly fun diversion, this.
