Cool. Someone used a Rage/Skill Link Icicle Spear combo on me to gain +5 attack in one turn! I'm going to one up him with a Rage/Beat Up combo to get +6 attack!

If you use Beat Up on your partner in a double battle, it still joins in, right?

I'm tired of Stone Edge and Power Whip always missing when I need them to hit most. If I use Defog or Sweet Scent first, how many times do I need to do it to make them hit 100%?

Actually, if I used a Tropius in my doubles team, I could take NO damage from Earthquake and use Tailwind to support my team. Experience shows Tailwind works better in doubles anyways. How does that stack up, Chlorophyll and Tailwind?

I'm thinking a good support Pokemon for my sunny day doubles team would be Rhyperior? Rock and Ground could protect the grass types from fire types, and since grass resists ground, maybe I could still get away with using Earthquake? Plus I can bring in Cherrim to boost its attack and special...

Physical would just leave me Seed Bomb, Return, Sunny Day and Protect, though. If I used an Exeggutor, could I Skill Swap the Flower Gift so I can keep it active on a bulkier Pokemon?

I'm trying to build a doubles team around Cherrim, but how much of that should overlap with a regular Sunny Day team? Right now I've got Leafeon, Tangrowth and Aggron on the physical side, for their abilities and Rock-type support, and Cherrim, Roserade and Arcanine on the special side for...
  8. Pokemon Black & White, aka Gen 5. Coming to Japan in Fall 2010.

The idea that the positioning of your Pokemon in a Triple Battle is pretty interesting! The idea that the Pokemon on the left can't hit the Pokemon invites some strategy on how you want to open. You think switching their positions in battle as it says you'll be able to will take up the Pokemon's...

Am I squandering Flower Gift if I plan to pair it up with Heat Wave and/or SolarBeam? In which case, should I use a different Sunny Day-er than Cherrim for my doubles team? Hm. I need to test out this idea a bit more.
  11. United States Nationals Thread - WON BY WESLEY MORIOKA

The top 16 has been decided in swiss format, so today they will be duking it out single elimination style to determine the winner. http://www.pokemon.com/us/news/op_nats10_standings-2010-06-26/
  12. The best of my favourites

Rotom sounds like fun, but I've got him in a different team and I don't like reusing Pokemon across multiple teams. How about Togekiss? You think that would work?
  13. The 1v1 Metagame

This does actually sound pretty neat. One of my favourite Colosseums in PBR was the Waterfall Colosseum, which basically pits you into a best 3 of 5 1v1 battles. It made things interesting, but perhaps for slightly different reasons than just straight up 1v1.

I know it must be because of its ability, but they should have had them in the wild anyways. Imagine catching a Pokemon only for it to turn out to be Zoura/Zoroark instead. I mean I think they change back after you weaken them.

Against the standard Flinch Spammers, can Lucario outrun them after one activation of Steadfast, or is Inner Focus a better idea in general?
