Yep, I've been reading that thread with interest... I'd hate to be the development team for generation 5.

I've been playing Metroid Prime: Trilogy - redoing the first 2 on Veteran difficulty then 3 on Hypermode, going for 100% completion on all three. As for the Contests, it's not at all necessary to have all the accessories... I did it with very few of them.

LOL! That was my most exaggerated sarcastic comment ever. You probably figured that anyway. Well, as for me, I'm... er, I haven't played Pokemon at all since 2009. I will return eventually, after 100% completing my Christmas games (it's also my birthday soon, but there are no games in particular that get my attention...).

Have a look at the records thread and you'll see that I lost at 294 with my Togekiss team - to the same lead Gliscor that screwed up Peterko...

You will absolutely love that ability, trust me. No fear of crits is such a nice feeling. I've been testing out Drapion lately, that's how I know.

I'm not so worried about the flawed logic in the game's timeline, I just don't like it because it makes me think there's no point doing the exact same thing that I did in Platinum. It would make my current achievement seem all... in... vain. Oh, and I just had an awesome idea for a new Tower team, so suddenly I'm inspired to return and challenge the top 2 records!

hmmm.... ive never actually done any poffins with other people - can you do that on wifi? if you can make really awesome pokeblocks then it'd be worth a try (although i cant for a few weeks by the look of it). on the other hand, i think higher levels mean a pokemon can eat less of them? i dont remember it all. but i know i was able to max out two stats on one pokemon just using poffins made with one person. choose good berries and you'll do well. from memory its the pinch berries (salac etc) that make the best ones - your guide will probably tell you.

is there a particular pokemon you're trying to win with? if you want to win all contests, you'll probably end up with a pokemon with a good stat in each category.

btw im happy that someone else is actually trying to win ribbons :) are you able to go for battle tower ribbons on this pokemon?

Yeah, resting from the Tower will be good. Although it's a shame that HG/SS is an exact clone of the Frontier. That ruins the purpose for me, but I guess not for you.

it's not possible to max out all stats, but you can certainly max out at least two - truth has two maxed out i think, or close to it. completely max is not entirely necessary, but helps a lot. you'll need to find a good guide to making poffins, and how natures affect it - some poffins will not work too well on some natures, and you really want to make every one count. i do have each scarf, but no way to trade at this point in time unfortunately. there is a guy who gives them to you ingame - if you take a pokemon with a contest stat maxed out, he will give you the corresponding scarf - according to google he's in pastoria, but im not sure of the building.

yup - max out the stat youre going for, give it the appropriate scarf, look up a list of all the accessories that will enhance your chances, and use good move combinations. things like calm mind (gives you no points but will double your next turn) and surf (double points if going first) work great together. i think thats right - it might be backwards. have a look at the move descriptions though - it should be enough to get you started :)

No shame in unoriginality; 2 of my team members are copied exactly from Peterko's team... only my lead is different. Yep, Sub will help you a lot... unless you get hit by 3 crits in a row, which is what lead to my loss in 314.

Nice idea, just don't use Meteor Mash - 85% accuracy = fail. Apart from that, Meta is very good. Also, my Tower streak ended at 313 just a moment ago...
