  1. R.I.P. Leads and Scouting

This change is certainly for the better if confirmed. Not knowing what pokemon your opponent has doesn't in anyway remove a level of skill from the game, but a level of guesswork. I feel as though this point has already been made extremely well in this thread, and am happy to see some people...
  2. The scariest thing I've read in a while.

Correct of course, but I would be very wary of asserting that just because something contains a divine element (and therefore, doesn't admit that element being falsified), we cannot falsify other claims made by the doctrine. Many of the claims made concerning matters which now lie in the realm...
  3. College Decisions: Where are you going?

Absolutely did, not something I've ever done before.
  4. College Decisions: Where are you going?

While I wasn't able to find my acceptance letter in my gmail, this should stand as proof enough. Not nearly as impressive as chaos though ;p. What are you studying at Princeton?
  5. The First Smogon Council - Salamence

While I'm not informed enough to contribute to this thread a great deal, I do think that the "grandfathering clause" argument seems a little dubious at best, because pre-platinum was an extremely different meta-game. For the majority of the D/P days no one complained about Salamence because: I...
  6. The scariest thing I've read in a while.

See, I don't think this argument is nearly as "unresolvable" as you're making it out to be. I hope you aren't expecting hard proof, because that simply isn't the way a scientific theory works. The fact of the matter is, despite one-hundred years of the best attempts, the theory of evolution...
  7. Legalization of Cannabis

I have to agree with you about the corn flakes; it's the same way both here, in my southern rural American hometown, and in Cambridge, MA, where I attend school. Seems like, literally, two-thirds of the people I associate with use marijuana, and you don't have to look very long to find a way to...
  8. The scariest thing I've read in a while.

Well, I would argue that Evolution is not compatible with a strict, literal reading of the Bible, but such a position has so many larger issues concerning it's social implications, that I don't believe anyone actually holds such a position, and it shouldn't really be considered.
  9. Legalization of Cannabis

I completely agree with that statement.
  10. Legalization of Cannabis

I'm a bit confused, as I think we are agreeing unless I mistyped or you/I misread.
  11. The scariest thing I've read in a while.

evolution is not science. Lol, what exactly do you consider to be definition of science? You should realize, that science is far more than just a series of observation or verifiable "facts." facts are not interesting, theory is interesting, in particular, theory accompanied with a great deal of...

Hey hugen; let me know if you're free soon, I'm trying to build an ubers stall team, and I can't think of anyone better to test with.
  13. Legalization of Cannabis

Regulation does not prevent drug abuse, at all. In fact, it simply gives criminals a way to become much more powerful than they would be without such an easy way to access money.
  14. Legalization of Cannabis

It's an impressive testament to the power of zealous anti-drug organizations, that people still continue to believe that Marijuana is anywhere near dangerous enough to be illegal. The drug is legal in other parts of the world, and none of the horrid arguments concerning the consequences of said...
