  1. Smeargle's Studio General Thread: Spriting and Banners go here!

Hi, this is one of my first sprites. It's a water-type named Ekine, based loosely on a sea urchin. I made this little guy with Marill (obviously), Croconaw's spikes, Scolipede, Terrakion, and Gigalith's coloring (for body, stomach, and spikes, respectively), and a little scratching here and...
  2. CAP 12 CAP1 - Part 5d - (Secondary Ability Poll 2)

Can anybody vote? No secondary ability
  3. CAP 12 CAP 1 - Concept Poll 1

"Weaponless" Weather Slayer could we make a Weaponless pokemon with an interesting typing that doesn't grant it worthwhile STAB? I think an offensive poison or poison/steel type would be awesome. Although you'd have to deal with that Earthquake weakness somehow.
  4. Shroomin'

OK, I'm sorry for not making this clear. Tyranitar is almost never my lead. I put him in the lead spot because it draws certain kinds of leads in - Metagross, Kojondo, Gliscor, Breloom - which I can then take advantage of with my other pokemon, especially Chandelure. I will usually switch Aero...
  5. Shroomin'

Yeah I went into TeamBuilder and did some damage calcs to figure out how to kill Politoed. Here's my new TTar set: Tyranitar @ Choice Band Brave nature (+Atk, -Spe) 224 HP, 180 Atk, 104 SpA -Stone Edge -Crunch -Pursuit -Ice Beam I know it's unorthodox, but it seems to work well. It's very...
  6. Shroomin'

I'll definitely test Urugamosu out, I never really considered him before. The water and stealth rock weaknesses seem like they could hurt, though. Definitely needs some testing. I think I'll set him up as a sweeper and I'll scarf Chandelure. While some people might like to flinch stuff to...
  7. Shroomin'

So I recently discovered the wonder of Breloom. Along with my favorite gen V pokemon, Excadrill, I've earned a much higher rating than I've ever had before in any gen (which, admittedly, isn't saying much). Here's my team. Tyranitar @ Choice Band Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA) 224 HP, 252 Atk...
  8. The In-Game Mono-Type Team Challenge

Man, I wanna do a mono-steel DPPt run so bad... But I can't reset until I pick up another 4th gen game or BW. Piplup, Forretress, Bastiodon, Bronzong, Lucario, maybe Steelix, Dialga... Pure awesome...
  9. Nuzlocke Challenge

I would think so... Seems unfair if you were to capture that many pokemon in such a small area. I'd play the safari zone counting as one area for sure.
  10. Nuzlocke Challenge

On my way to the Elite Four in FireRed with nothing but a Blastoise, Vileplume, and Jolteon, all above level 50... Jolteon uses Dig, level 38 Geodude uses Magnitude 8, Jolteon goes down, and I give up. I'm out of places to catch pokemon and out of good pokemon to use. I'm starting over. No way I...
  11. Rotom Forms

Just Thick Fat Mamoswine, Magnezone, and Shedinja, I believe. Still, boltbeam isn't used very much - didn't they say that in the Smogcast? There aren't a whole lot of viable users. Since nobody but Rotom-F gets STAB on the two, neutral damage often just isn't enough. And Rotom-F's Blizzard is...
  12. Rotom Forms

blocking Explosion doesn't matter that much since it's now half as powerful... I miss the real Explosion...
  13. Sturdy

what about stat-boosting berries? For the first time, pokemon can automatically survive any attack and hold another item. I think maybe a lead who can take a hit then boost their speed would work well, although I guess Priority would ruin it.
  14. CAP Steel Stall

Sadly, I am unable to test this team, since Kitsunoh's playtest is way over. I've been fiddling around with an all-steel team for a while, and it seems the natural strategy for an all-steel team is stall. Sadly, there are no steel spinblockers. I decided I'd make a team with Kitsunoh, the...
