I'm still wondering how do you figure out your delay in the first place. With ID/SID abusing i read the lowest delay you can get while starting your game is 5000, but I been reading and even suggested to by vets here that I should set my delay between 490-999, so not really sure I understand...

Hello all. I am trying to figure out if you can find a seed for a shiney pokemon in HGSS for your starter. I'm not sure if I can since I cant catch any pokemon to check my seed. Is blindly Softresetting the only way to get a shiney from the starters?
