Look Alive Sunshine (Gen 6 OU Sun Team)

Alright so, Charizard Y works a lot better than Ninetails. I've been using a Fire Spin set that is pretty cool, though I might go back to a set that has Roost. As for Excadrill, I'm not really a fan of it and have been using Donphan which has been working well enough. I might give it another...

Look Alive Sunshine (Gen 6 OU Sun Team)

Oh also, what moveset/ev spec should I use for Charizard? It looks like it handles differently than Ninetails and I'm unsure how to go about it.

Look Alive Sunshine (Gen 6 OU Sun Team)

Hello and thank you for the advice! I'll certainly try out Zard-Y. I never put it on there in the first place cause I didn't want to be stranded without Venusaur to go without a mega. I'll give Excadrill and Blaziken a try as well. I'll change Dragonite's nature but I think I'll keep DClaw so I...

Look Alive Sunshine (Gen 6 OU Sun Team)

Introduction I've been using this team over the summer and it's really what got me into pokemon competitively. Now that gen 6 is out, I decided to give it a whirl. I've been getting mixed success and was hoping I could get some help in improving my sunny band of monsters. The Team Kyubii...

Ah yes sorry. Uh, I'm not really sure. You could certainly try it? I'm always a big cautious and I like Giga Drain cause it gives you a bit of a buffer.

I think Giga Drain will still be perfered given it's health recovery. Extra damage is good, but with lack of leftovers and you needing to waste a turn seeding your opponent, Giga Drain will probably be better for those desired quick heals. I haven't really been up on Showdown lately. I'm...

The growth mixed set does sound very enticing. I know i love just sweeping teams with Sair when i get a growth in. I do agree with your statement about EVs and how it is speced will probably fall on what your team requires.

Yeha strong psychoc types are probably its biggest worry. Steel types like Ferrothorn and Skarmory will be another tough patch since the HP nerf and assuming you run mixed attacker set. Other than that, Saur gives great coverage type and stat wise. And for those it cant take on, it has other...

Sounds pretty good. You know, the rain thing actually crossed my mind. Not sure how well it'd work, but it's certainly worth a shot Yeah it's pretty great. To answer your question, I'd say there are only a select few. Certainly big psychic types like Alakazam, Reunculus, and Latios. Hetran and...

    Pokémon Venusaur

Aw yes the dreaded four moveslot syndrome. The bane of many a strong pokemon. To get a bit off the topic, I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on Venusaur's other team members might be and who would be a good advantage for it, as well as what role on a team (weather or regular) it...

    Pokémon Venusaur

Yeah I meant the Chlorophyll loss when i was saying the speed loss heh. I probably should have clarified that. But yes I do think he's a great pokemon. Him dropping to high UU wouldn't necessarily be bad. He'd probably still be used in OU but like you said, only in niche teams. Dont have a lot...

    Pokémon Venusaur

It will certainly be good against Azumarill and other water types and those that are weak against grass and poison type moves. It will have problems with Fire types and Steel types, but it might be able to squeak by with good set up conditions and running EQ. It will have problems with Dragons...

    Pokémon Venusaur

I'm not sure but Grassy Terrain would be possibly good for a Mega Saur stall set. Set up Grass and Leech Seed, then you can go to town on Giga Drains and sub whenever you get the chance. The only problem with that move set is the lack of coverage. There are probably other ways to use it beside...

    Pokémon Venusaur

Mixed is probably the best bet with HP Fire's recent nerf to 60 BP. I think running running it with Leech Seed is better than Synthesis since you can heal yourself a bit and do damage on top of a Giga Drain. Heatran, probably one of M-Saur's biggest threats, would be a great partner for it. It...

That was actually what i was planning doing when i make my gen 6 sun team. I mean why sacrifice it's speed at the beginning anyway? It'd be most effective to mega evolve it when sun runs out or you need it to post up defense.
