I’ve noticed the running theme this generation is anything that can reliably generate free turns is going to end up broken. Defenses are spread way too thing and offenses set up way too fast.
With that in mind, it was only a matter of time before people started gambling with sleep paralyzation...
I was running a 4 drag sun team and was having problems getting outspeed and Vs other weather match ups. I swapped venasuar for iron boulder and a lot of those problems eased up
boulders just so fast and so immediately powerful
I personally would of liked match up turtle to get a little more time just to see how thing’s further developed, especially since we aren’t on a time crunch anymore, but you can’t really argue the council’s decision.

in their defense we didn’t know exactly how terapagos worked until hours before it was implemented on showdown , hell it’s possible somethings still wrong
Finch, what’s the decided pace DLC2 is going to go at ? I know with home and DLC 1 we where more deliberate and moved with pace since we where aware those meta’s where 3-4 months each at.

I mean well, yeah if you give a Pokémon 4 turns of set up it’s checks are shakey at best.
Also your vali calc’s are wrong, your accounting for it having multi scale up all 3 turns.
It’s an immediate form change though. Which is different from terapagos since you manually trigger it.

Not saying terapagos isn’t broken. But I’m surprised i haven’t seen people run the actual counters or checks to it. Like I’m not seeing any ting Lu or blissey, not really seeing any of the fast fighting types that out speed +1 and OHKO.
Playing in total chaos isn’t good after taking like 2 month break(haven’t played consistently since hearth got banned)

terapagos will 100% operate as a spinner first and a secondary sweeper if it gets the opportunity. Kinda how with great tusk when you rapid spin to remove hazard and now you suddenly outspeed and Ko their whole team. It requires too much to consistently sweep.
pretty much all of the fast fighting Type do between 65-80% to 160 Hp 252 ev Terapagos.
that should be enough to check it considering it should never be in the stellar form at max hp.
but your best response is gonna be in the defensively with something like blissey or Ting lu who just sit on...
I disagree mainly because our favorite turtle has a pretty bad case of 4ms without the perfect neutral coverage stellar terastorm provides
rapid spin/rock polish
Calm mind
Tera star storm
Stored Power or Coverage, probably either moonblast or aura sphere to help against ting Lu and bliss...
A couple initial thoughts
Every time I look at Terapagos I can’t decided just how good it is 130 special attack and stab on everything is incredible impressive, not to mention an better multi scale. But without recovery and a that speed stat it’s extremely easy to revenge by the like 3 or 4...
