  1. np: BW OU Suspect Testing Round 11 - Genie in a Bottle [Landorus is now Uber]

landy-i is just a toned down version of genesect. Not very broken in my opinion. Judging by the comments above, Keldeo is obviously going to get banned unless a miracle happens. If both gets banned, it just means that rain SubCM jirachi has 2 lesser checks/counters.

How does a new generation of pokemon get tiered? Do they get lumped into OU, while a few gets into Ubers?
  3. OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers (Read the OP First!)

You get 10 more SpA, 40 lesser Atk, 10 less Def, and lose a good ability.
  4. Counter that Pokemon - Mk IV [FINAL MATCH - Team 1 won!]

Scizor needs jolly to Outspeed azelf. 40hp/ 252 Atk/ 216spe Jolly outspeeds azelf. Is bug bite that useful? From the calcs, the only cases where bug bite is a better choice would be when 1. Against Slowbro, in which scizor dies to a flamethrower 2. Against Jirachi, which they 3hko each...
  5. Reflecting on BW and Looking Ahead to Gen VI - SEE POST #508

Uh. I think fire priority move is a part of the gen6 wish list. It is really confusing when you just blurt it out in a middle of a confirmed new stuff conversation. The next batch of released information would be on the 19th on Pokemon smash I think. Hope to see more potentially competitive...
  6. Reflecting on BW and Looking Ahead to Gen VI - SEE POST #508

Since its a "naughty Pokemon", it having prankster as an ability is not too unimaginable. Since parting remark, like memento, doesn't seem like an attacking move, this combo will probably be über worthy. That little robin, like starly looks innocent and weak, but who knows what kind of...
  7. Reflecting on BW and Looking Ahead to Gen VI - SEE POST #508

according to CoroCoro, The panda is called Yancham ( ヤンチャム) and is the Naughty Pokémon. It is Fighting-type, 0.6m and 8.0kg. It has a new move called Parting Remark which lowers the opponents stats and causes the user to switch out. If this pokemon has a high enough base speed, this move is an...
  8. Creative / Underrated Sets Thread (Read the thread, NO SHITTY GIMMICKS)

@Mismagius It looks like a cool set, but how would you compare it to something that is already in OU? For example, Jirachi has a couple (exactly 2) sets which revolves around the same principle, the SuperRachi set and the SubCM set which can carry thunder and water pulse under rain. Mismagius...
  9. OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers (Read the OP First!)

Hey. If you play enough of any metagame/mind sport, you will find out that there is no specific way to do something. Like in chess, no one is forcing you to play e4. You can create the team however you want(maybe building a team around a pokemon or play style maybe), but at the end of the...

If i am not wrong, the gem boosts the power of the move, and not the base power, so using the gem does not go over the technician threshold. STAB doesnt increase the base power of the move either, only the power.
  11. Counter that Pokemon - Mk IV [FINAL MATCH - Team 1 won!]

Except team 1 gets a switch initiative, which team 1 can send in an appropriate counter, leading to yet another switch, resulting in 2 pokes taking unnecessary hits. Sound good?
  12. Counter that Pokemon - Mk IV [FINAL MATCH - Team 1 won!]

Celebi would be cool, except that Landorus pretty much forces it into a bad position with u-turn.
  13. Counter that Pokemon - Mk IV [FINAL MATCH - Team 1 won!]

If I were to compare accelgor to any other, I would do so with scolipede or aerodectyl, as both are usually focus sash hazard setters with high speeds. Aerodectyl, would be somewhat better in this role as it has stealth rocks rather than spikes.
  14. OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers (Read the OP First!)

I keep seeing people complaining about how Infernape sucked and should be used less. Although I have never used Infernape, it's movepool and stats aren't that horrible. I would like to ask, why is Infernape do harshly criticized?
  15. Counter that Pokemon - Mk IV [FINAL MATCH - Team 1 won!]

imo infernape is a good pick. 1. Its weakness does not stack with its team mates 2. It has a good coverage 3. Its a mixed attacker (not walled by too many things) 4. It is fast enough. Its like a faster but weaker hydreigon.
