  1. Victini

If I had to guess, this guy will be seen with five sets: The Support and Sub sets from the OP (maybe), Special Choice (Flame Bomb/Psycho Shock/Focus Blast/Grass Knot or Thunder), Physical Choice (U-Turn/Flare Blitz/Brick Break/Zen Headbutt), and mixed Cheer up (probably Cheer Up/Flame Bomb or...
  2. Abagoora

Note: Solid Rock does not eliminate 2x weaknesses or reduce 4x weaknesses to 2x. The damage is decreased by 1/4th, or 75%. 2x.75 = 1.5 4x.75 = 3
  3. Rotom-W

Maxed speed Rotom outspeeds a lot of key things, including Heracross and Adamant Lucario. I could see a support set running the nice combination of Thunderwave and Eleci ball to lower their speed and then hit them hard. Maybe Thunderwave/Eleci Ball/Hyrdopump/Will'o'Wisp for the double status...
  4. Exploud

Hm... It seems to me that since he has perfect neutral coverage with Scrappy using Normal + Fighting, he has some room to play around with the other two moveslots for his set. He has the same attack as special attack, so a mixed set running Cheer Up, Hyper Voice, Return, <Fighting Move> could be...
  5. Wide Guard

I dunno, that was my understanding as well based off of the wording I had seen in another thread.
  6. Luxray

Intimidate is a damned good ability, and Superpower is one of his best offensive moves. Guts is okay, but he really doesn't have the speed to support a glass-cannon offensive style set. I suppose you could use Guts on a Scarf set designed to switch in and absorb status, but that's kind of risky...
  7. Pokemon that benefit the most from Dream World (They see me Update'n,)

I believe Arcanine also gets Justice Heart (it's listed on the big data list as having the same unnamed dreamworld ability as Absol, Lucario, and Gallade). While Arcanine already has two very powerful abilities (Flash Fire and Intimidate), Justice Heart provides it both versatility and power...
  8. Mirror Matches in Competitive Play

One way to account for speed ties would be this: Two games are played in each match. In the first game, one player uses an imperfect IV for each of his or her pokemon, putting them down at least one speed point (this would have to be worked out such that A) it would not mess with any Hidden...
  9. Transform Glitch in HGSS: Learn Any Move!

IIRC there was a kinda similar bug in 2nd gen that somehow allowed users of Metronome to learn any move via Metronoming Sketch and then re-learning the move through the person who could let you re-learn forgotten moves. It seems like this is far too abusive to be allowed. You think some...

  11. OU RMT Metagross -Agility

A couple comments: You say "Agilry" instead of Agility, and NFE (which is short for Not Fully Evolved) instead of Not Very Effective in your Metagross description. Why Yache on lead Gliscor? The only lead I can think of that ever occasionally runs Ice moves is Swampert, and you don't have a...
  12. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread Mk. 5

I actually ran a very similar Heatran as my lead for the longest time, it worked very well when there were a lot of Sash Azelf around. These days, you're more likely to see ShucaTran and Metagross, both of which this doesn't do amazingly well against. By the way, the item I used was Wide Lens...
  13. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread Mk. 5

A few comments on this set: You probably want to run enough speed to outrun Max+ Aerodactyl, or at the very least Azelf. Currently you only hit 294 speed, which is barely faster than a max speed Togekiss. Failure to outrun these threats will leave you incapable of Triking due to being hit by...
  14. New and "creative" moveset/EV spread thread. Mk. 4

You might want to explain this a bit. This seems... bad at best. What, do you curse, then Pain Split on the switch in? The moves seem quite random. Remember that curse on a ghost does not act like a bulk up with -1 speed. Also, it is always better to max HP before touching Spiritomb's defenses...
  15. New and "creative" moveset/EV spread thread. Mk. 4

The problem I see with this set is that it doesn't beat most of Infernape's usual counters. Yes, speed is less necessary with sub, allowing you to put more into attack, and Focus punch is 25% more powerful than Close Combat, but I really don't think it helps him pick up that many KOs he missed...
