  1. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

I think it's always good to have at least one defensive TR and one offensive TR. I personally have Reuniclus as my offensive (considering its high SpA and Magic Guard to avoid side damage), but I could see some uses for Chandelure. Its weakness to Stealth Rock could really hurt its potential...
  2. Aron Storm (A 5th Gen SS Team [RMT; Dream World])

And just to point out the elephant in the room (standard Aron FEAR stuff, but worth mentioning), Aron is most useful in this team when Sandstorm is in effect, as Endeavor takes the opponent to 1-12 HP (whatever your HP is at the time), then sandstorm takes 1/16th of the opponent's total health...
  3. Aron Storm (A 5th Gen SS Team [RMT; Dream World])

Welcome to (posting on) Smogon forums, Kappy! Glad you finally shared this team! Your team is very frustrating to fight, though watching you play most of the time, you always hide Aron longer than you should in many cases. He's pretty much worthless end-game if the opponent can plan ahead or...
  4. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

My Conkeldurr has worked wonders for me. He has ok defenses given his amazing Attack. The main thing he has over Emboar (and really the ONLY reason I use him over Emboar) is Mach Punch, as Priority+ attacks are a godsend in a TR team. The main thing that Conkeldurr and other fighters bring to...
  5. Kick! Punch! It's all in the mind! A mono-fighting RMT.

Pretty good list of Pokemon! I think that either Machamp or Conkeldurr would be a great addition, maybe over Keldeo since he technically isn't released yet. Machamp with No Guard and DynamicPunch is one of the most annoying things I face, due to him constantly confusing people. And Conkeldurr...
  6. Xyless' Trick Room - RMT

After doing some reading and studying, I decided to add Porygon2 to the team. He's added some amazing coverage (Ice Beam in particular for Gliscor coverage), and he's the first that I have felt comfortable enough in his moveset to give Recover. My team has been doing far better since his...
  7. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

Gliscor is pretty much the only repeated issue I ever have with my TR team, so I may replace my Whimsicott with him. (My current TRs are Whimsicott, Cofagrigus, and Reuniclus)
  8. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

I don't need Whimsicott to paralyze, but if it does, then I have a potential chance at further actions. I want them to "lose" the Paralyze Check, so they are unable to attack (aka the 1/4 chance). If they do, then I get a free Trick Room, and if, on the turn I DO Trick Room, they "lose" the...
  9. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

Just so I can give a visual of what I mean. Basically, the "Paralyze check" is whether the Paralyzed Pokemon will "be paralyzed" and unable to move or be able to act. Basically, a 1/4 chance of having the same effect as sleep, without a chance of healing out of it unless they have an ability...
  10. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

I completely forgot about Facade, considering I haven't played Pokemon for serious in many years I don't tend to remember moves that aren't clearly defined damage dealers. I'll make sure to add that. And Toxic Orb should be better than Flame Orb, due to the fact that it'll only be stronger...
  11. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

Also, like I said, I'm not rolling SS for speed situations, I'm running it for stun checks. Even if they out-slow me, they still have to pass a 25% chance of not being able to act, which can be a deal breaker, especially if their lead (or whoever is stunned) is saved for the end.
  12. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

If it's a Pokemon that I know benefits enough, I don't Stun. ESPECIALLY Tyranitar. The others I can actually stand stunned, since I have counters for them and I will just save TR for when they are benched. Skarmory I'd rather have Stunned out of those, so I can finger-cross a Stun if it tries...
  13. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

I use Whimsi mostly as a counter-lead and as a Trick Roomer second. I replaced Seed with Stun Spore, so once I taunt the lead (assuming I feel the need to), the next step is Stun Sporing and hoping it hits. I play with luck, so I not only bank on SS hitting, but accepting the potential chance...
  14. 5th Gen Guide to Trick Room--Ubers

Yes, you really should add Conkeldurr to your list. Giving it a Toxic Orb makes it far stronger (and considering it's a TR team, you should be switching him out before it does enough to do more than Flame Orb). Mach Punch is its biggest asset in the TR team, in case you run out of Trick...
  15. Xyless' Trick Room - RMT

After messing around with builds for Whimsicott, I think I'm going to make him my lead and give him Stun Spore instead of Leech Seed. Considering I don't have any shift punishing options (Spikes, Stealth Rock, etc), the opponent has no problem switching out. Running him with Trick Room / Stun...
