To be fair, Messi hardly got a sniff against Chelsea or Man Utd each time they've played them. Bar the goal in last years final, of course. The way Arsenal play just played right into Messi's, and Barcelona's hands.

Still, magical performance from Messi. I think it was more about him than the rest of the Barca side, no one else did anything that worthy of note in an attacking sense, it was more about the work rate and defence (for once).

Sir Alex would definitely not risk Wayne Rooney if he's not 100%. I'm sure he'd want Rooney to play the remaining games and miss this one if there was any risk.

Still, it's going to be a tough task. But I'm sure that'll set a bit of doubt into Bayern's side, they're playing 442 and if United can win that midfield battle with the three players there, I think Bayern could get caught.

Good effort from Man Utd but the somewhat harsh red card for Rafael made it too much. I don't want to sound too bitter, but the ref did favour Bayern far more. I hate to see so many players pressuring the referee to send someone off, and the amount of diving and buying free kicks off the ref was annoying. If Rafael was sent off for that second offence, van Bommel surely should have been sent off as well.

Credit to Bayern as Robben's goal was good and they kept the ball better when United were down to 10 men. Good luck to Bayern, but I don't think they have a chance of beating Barcelona. I'm pretty sure that'll be the final.

Really because I thought the referee was a bit unfair in not giving Bayern a free kick when Schweinsteiger (sp) went down near the 18 yard box. Also I noticed to begin with Utd were going down a bit too easily...
