[Overview]

With Iron Fist as his ability, along with a base 105 Attack, Hitmonchan makes a powerful physical sweeper. Factoring in STAB and Iron Fist, Hitmonchan's Focus Punch has an outstanding Base Power of 270, while Mach Punch reaches 72 Base Power, allowing Hitmonchan to become a useful revenge killer. Access to all three elemental punches, which Hitmonlee and Hitmontop lack, is also a bonus for providing near-perfect type coverage. The downside to using Hitmonchan is the fact that he is almost useless against defensive Ghost-types, though all in all he makes a fine sweeper.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Close Combat
move 2: Mach Punch / Stone Edge
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: ThunderPunch
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Iron Fist
nature: Adamant
evs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe

[Set Comments]

This set functions primarily as a revenge killer. Using the
ThunderPunch and Ice Punch combination alongside Close Combat will provide perfect type coverage; with the aforementioned moves, Hitmonchan can hit every Pokemon in UU for neutral damage besides the rare Shedinja, who is KOed with Stone Edge. Close Combat is Hitmonchan's most reliable STAB move, being able to 2HKO standard Registeel, Regirock, and Steelix. The second slot is a choice between Mach Punch or Stone Edge. Mach Punch allows Hitmonchan to outrun other priority users, like Azumarill and Absol, while Stone Edge gives Hitmonchan the chance to OHKO even the most defensive Moltres and Shedinja. Ice Punch hits Venusaur and Altaria harder than Close Combat and Stone Edge and ThunderPunch will damage Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic.

[Additional Comments]

244 Speed EVs and an Adamant nature allow Hitmonchan to reach 373 Speed, outrunning all Pokemon with base 120 Speed and under. Max Attack is vital to deal as much damage as possible. The remaining EVs are placed into Hitmonchan's disappointing HP stat. An alternative spread of 20 HP / 252 Atk / 236 Spe can be used with a Jolly nature, allowing Hitmonchan to outspeed every Pokemon up to and including Choice Scarf Moltres, though this would reduce the amount of damage done by Hitmonchan due to the lower Attack stat.

Bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic cause problems for this set as it lacks the power to even 2HKO either of these threats. Defensively, Chansey makes an excellent partner as she is able to switch into
special attacks with little trouble and threaten to poison these Pokemon with Toxic or weaken them with Seismic Toss. On the offensive side, Mismagius can set up a Nasty Plot and hit Milotic with Thunderbolt and Slowbro with Shadow Ball. Ghost-types are a big problem to Hitmonchan, as they are immune to Fighting-type attacks and can burn him with Will-O-Wisp. Pokemon with Pursuit will spell doom for frail Ghosts like Mismagius and Rotom. Drapion is an excellent example; he can switch in on Shadow Ball without taking much damage, then threaten these opponents with Night Slash or chase them out of battle with Pursuit.

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Close Combat / Focus Punch
move 2: Ice Punch
move 3: Mach Punch
move 4: ThunderPunch / Stone Edge
item: Choice Band
ability: Iron Fist
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 8 HP / 252 Atk / 248 Spe

[Set Comments]

With a Choice Band equipped, Hitmonchan achieves an Attack stat of 508. Pair this with high powered STAB moves
, including priority, and Hitmonchan will be damaging a lot of the UU metagame. After all of the boosts are taken into account, Focus Punch has an astonishing 270 Base Power. However, Close Combat is the more reliable option as Hitmonchan doesn't flinch if he takes a hit. Ice Punch allows Hitmonchan to hit Grass-types such as Venusaur and Mach Punch lets Hitmonchan overcome his average Speed stat. The final slot is a choice between Stone Edge and ThunderPunch. Stone Edge OHKOes Moltres on the switch, whereas ThunderPunch gives great type coverage when paired with Ice Punch.

[Additional Comments]

Below are some damage calculations demonstrating Focus Punch's power.

252 Atk Adamant Hitmonchan + Choice Band Focus Punch vs 248 HP / 252 Def Bold Milotic = 89% - 105%

252 Atk Adamant Hitmonchan + Choice Band Focus Punch vs 252 HP / 252 Def Impish Arcanine (including Attack drop from Intimidate) = 60% - 71%

252 Atk Adamant Hitmonchan + Choice Band Focus Punch vs 252 HP / 0 Def Careful Steelix = 116% - 137%

252 Atk Adamant Hitmonchan + Choice Band Focus Punch vs 252 HP / 0 Def Careful Registeel = 147% - 173%

252 Atk Adamant Hitmonchan + Choice Band Focus Punch vs 52 HP / 204 Def Adamant Donphan = 90% - 106%

252 Atk Adamant Hitmonchan + Choice Band Focus Punch vs 0 HP / 0 Def Jolly Venusaur = 80.46% - 94.7%

252 Atk Adamant Hitmonchan + Choice Band Focus Punch vs 4 HP / 0 Def Adamant Toxicroak = 95.78% - 112.99%

252 Atk Adamant Hitmonchan + Choice Band Focus Punch vs 0 HP / 0 Def Adamant Altaria = 77.32% - 91.41%

248 Speed EVs allow Hitmonchan to outrun Adamant Absol by one point. With max Attack, Hitmonchan
can deal as much damage as possible over a single turn. Any remaining EVs are placed into HP. If you decide to use a Jolly nature, 248 EVs allow Hitmonchan to outrun positive-nature Absol.

Again, Ghost-types cause Hitmonchan problems as they are immune to Fighting-type moves. Dark-types such as Drapion and Sneasel are good options
, as they resist Ghost-type moves and threaten these Pokemon with Pursuit, while Drapion also has access to Night Slash. Support from Encore is an option for this set, as it can force the opponent to repeat a support or ineffective move, such as Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, or Night Slash, allowing Hitmonchan to switch in safely. Clefable is one of the best users of Encore in UU due to her great defensive stats and Magic Guard ability. Encore would also force switches and rack up damage from any entry hazards you may have placed.

[SET]
name: Agility
move 1: Agility
move 2: Close Combat
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: Stone Edge / Substitute
item: Life Orb
ability: Iron Fist
nature: Adamant
evs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spe

[Set Comments]

The aim of this set is to raise Hitmonchan's average Speed to great levels. 88 Speed EVs and an Adamant nature give a stat of 210. This allows Hitmonchan to outrun all neutral nature Omastar and Gorebyss outside rain conditions
, and is fast enough to outspeed Choice Scarf Moltres and positive-nature Electrode after an Agility boost. Close Combat and Ice Punch give great type coverage, while the final slot gives Hitmonchan a choice between OHKOing Moltres with Stone Edge or protecting himself from status with Substitute. Alternatively, you may wish to use Thunderpunch as it deals more damage to bulky Water-types.

[Additional Comments]

Bulky Water-types cause this set problems as Hitmonchan is unable to OHKO the likes of Milotic and Slowbro, while both of these Pokemon can hit Hitmonchan with STAB Surf or in Slowbro's case, Psychic. Chansey is a great partner for this set as she is able to cripple these Pokemon with Toxic and weaken them with Seismic Toss.

Ghost-types cause problems for this set as
they are immune to Close Combat, while Psychic-types take little damage from it. Absol is an excellent teammate as he can deal immense damage to Mismagius, Uxie, and Alakazam with his STAB Dark-type moves. Houndoom is another excellent choice, being able to switch into Will-O-Wisp with his Flash Fire ability, while also hitting Ghosts super effectively with his STAB Dark-type moves. This set has problems with bulky walls such as Milotic, Tangrowth, and even Arcanine. The best option is to slowly drain these opponents with Toxic Spikes from Qwilfish, Drapion, or Nidoqueen. Toxic Stall Moltres is another good choice here too, as it can take on both Tangrowth and Arcanine with ease, while stalling Milotic with Roost and Pressure.

[SET]
name: SubPunch
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Focus Punch
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: Mach Punch / ThunderPunch / Stone Edge
item: Fist Plate / Leftovers
ability: Iron Fist
nature: Adamant
evs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 Spe

[Set Comments]

With 105 base Attack and Iron Fist, Hitmonchan can use the SubPunch combination to great success. Along with Ice Punch, he hits everything in UU for at least neutral damage barring Shedinja. Although Hitmonchan has average defenses, Substitute is great due to Hitmonchan's ability to cause switches. The item choice depends on whether you wish to boost the power of Focus Punch or recover health after making Substitutes. Focus Punch is Hitmonchan's most powerful STAB move,
having a Base Power of 270 including STAB and Iron Fist (324 with Fist Plate). Ice Punch allows Hitmonchan to hit Ghost-types, while also striking Venusaur harder than Focus Punch. Finally, there is the choice of Mach Punch, ThunderPunch, or Stone Edge. STAB priority is helpful for faster opponents, ThunderPunch gives perfect type coverage alongside Focus Punch and Ice Punch, and Stone Edge hits Moltres for 4x super effective damage.

[Additional Comments]

160 Speed EVs put Hitmonchan at 228 Speed,
outrunning 4 Speed Uxie so that Hitmonchan can Substitute before Yawn or Thunder Wave. Max Attack is a must as Hitmonchan wants to deal as much damage as possible. The remaining EVs are placed into HP, giving Hitmonchan a small defensive boost.

Support from Encore is suggested when using this set due to Hitmonchan's low HP stat,
which means Substitutes are broken easily. Clefable is able to Encore support moves such as Stealth Rock or stat boosting moves such as Agility. This is helpful as Hitmonchan gets a safe switch in to set up.

Defensive Ghost-types will cause problems as they can switch in on a predicted Focus Punch and burn Hitmonchan with Will-O-Wisp, weakening any physical move. Dark-types such as Sneasel and Drapion make amazing partners to Hitmonchan as they can hit Mismagius with a STAB boosted Night Slash (or Punishment, in Sneasel's case) or Pursuit her upon switching out. Houndoom is another fine option as he can switch into Will-O-Wisp, thanks to Flash Fire, and then hit Ghosts with STAB Dark Pulse. Bulky Water-types such as Slowbro cause problems for this set as they take little damage from any damaging moves
; Slowbro resists Focus Punch and Ice Punch, and he also has Slack Off to recover his health. Specially-based Grass-types such as Venusaur are helpful, as they can hurt Slowbro with Leaf Storm or Energy Ball.

[Team Options]

Support from dual screens is helpful due to Hitmonchan's low HP stat, giving him more durability. Clefable is an excellent partner for Hitmonchan
, as she is able to set up screens, cripple faster opponents with Thunder Wave and Encore, and easily heal herself with Softboiled or Wish. Uxie is another great partner due to his amazing defensive stats and great support movepool. Toxic Spikes are an option as they help weaken bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic; both of these can survive Hitmonchan's moves and their recovery moves will make them tough to take down. Drapion is the best option as he can set up Toxic Spikes, phaze with Whirlwind, and hit Ghost-types with Night Slash or Pursuit. Nidoqueen is another great option as she can set up both Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock.

To deal with Spiritomb, a Pokemon with Trick is helpful as it causes Spiritomb problems for the remainder of the match. Uxie is a decent option as
he can survive powerful hits thanks to his high defensive stats and pass a useless Choice Scarf onto Spiritomb. Clefable is another great option as she can cripple Spiritomb with a Flame or Toxic Orb. These Pokemon should beware of Choice Band Spiritomb, however. Offensively, Absol is a great partner for Hitmonchan as he can hit Ghost- and Psychic-types with Sucker Punch or Night Slash. He also has Pursuit to hit fleeing opponents. This is helpful as Pokemon such as Alakazam and Mismagius will outspeed any non-Choice Scarf Hitmonchan and damage him with powerful STAB moves. Swellow is another decent partner for Hitmonchan as he benefits from the removal of Rock- and Steel-types like Aggron and Registeel. Lastly, Houndoom is a great partner for Hitmonchan as he can switch into Will-O-Wisp, thanks to Flash Fire, has resistances to Ghost- and Dark-type attacks, and can hit some of Hitmonchan's counters super effectively with his STAB Dark moves or boosted Fire Blast.

Using a bulky Water-type of your own helps remove bulky Ground-types such as Claydol and Nidoqueen with little trouble. Slowbro
can set up Calm Mind boosts and become a threatening sweeper, while Milotic can cripple the opponent with Toxic or Hypnosis. A status absorber or cleric is helpful, as paralysis or burn can leave Hitmonchan useless. Chansey and Clefable are both great options as they have access to Heal Bell and Aromatherapy. Both of these Pokemon have useful abilities: Chansey has Natural Cure, allowing her to relieve herself of status upon switching out, and Clefable has Magic Guard, making the effects of non-damaging moves useless. Registeel is another defensive option as he can switch in on Psychic- and Flying-type moves aimed at Hitmonchan, while also setting up Stealth Rock or crippling opponents with Thunder Wave. As a plus, Registeel is a great check to Mismagius.

[Optional Changes]

Besides the moves already listed, Hitmonchan has a few more options available to him. Rapid Spin is available, though Hitmontop usually does a better job. Bulk Up can be used in tandem with Hitmonchan's decent Defense, but his low HP makes it difficult to pull off
. Pursuit is usable against fleeing opponents, but the low Base Power is a turn off. Also, Ghost- and Psychic-types will usually not switch out of Hitmonchan. Drain Punch is an option if you wish to restore some of Hitmonchan's health, though it is unreliable and other moves deal more damage. Fake Out can be used alongside Mach Punch to weaken opponents and break Focus Sashes.

Sky Uppercut is another option as it gains a boost from Iron Fist and STAB, though Close Combat's higher accuracy is usually better. Counter may be used, though Hitmonchan has a low base HP stat and it won't deal a lot of damage. Hitmonchan may use Bullet Punch as a priority move, and it also gains a boost from Iron Fist, but Mach Punch is more powerful and provides better type coverage along with STAB. Earthquake is also usable, though Hitmonchan's Fighting-type moves hit the the same opponents super effectively anyway. Hi Jump Kick is another STAB move, though its low accuracy and chance of recoil is risky at best due to Hitmonchan's low HP stat. Magic Coat is another move you may consider, though most of the moves it blocks can be blocked with Substitute, which is normally more reliable and allows Hitmonchan to use Focus Punch.

[Counters]

Defensive Ghost-types such as Spiritomb are able to switch in on any Fighting-type move and threaten Hitmonchan with Will-O-Wisp or Hypnosis. If Hitmonchan decides to stay in, Spiritomb is free to set up Calm Minds or weaken him with Ghost moves. Uxie makes an excellent counter to Hitmonchan, as he is unable to deal large amounts of damage or hit the pixie super effectively. Not only does Uxie have Thunder Wave to cripple Hitmonchan, but he also has higher Speed, allowing him to outrun any Hitmonchan running less than 156 Speed EVs.

Choice sets are easier to counter as they are locked onto one move. Once you figure out what move is used, you are able to switch to the necessary Pokemon who resists it.
This is especially true for Ghost-types such as Mismagius, who can come in on a Choiced Close Combat, and proceed to set up. Fast Pokemon should take advantage of Hitmonchan's average Speed and frail defenses and hit him with a super effective move before he has the chance to hit them with Close Combat or an elemental punch. Pokemon such as Alakazam and Swellow are able to outspeed non-Choice Scarf sets and OHKO Hitmonchan with the necessary move.

Just a nitpick, bu hope it helps:

@Subpuch set & Agility set
Slowbro, one of the best physical walls of UU, resist Ice punch + Focus punch. Also does Frosslass, and even with its pretty meh defences, it can be a pain.
*even Slowking would, but its UU*

339 Att Hitmochan vs. those

252/252 Bold Slowbro takes 19.8-23.6% from Focus punch, and propably carries Slack off with that EV spread.
32/0 timid Frosslass takes 18-21.1% from Ice punch, and carries Substitute (assuming standard set) which Ice punch couldn´t break.

Imagine a bulky Frosslass.

But nice work! It is reassuring to see someone making analysis for even Hitmochan! :)

I already mention in the set comments about bulky Water-types and Ghosts causing trouble for the set. I have more to add anyway, this isn't done.

Those were the only errors I could find. Well written (to me at least) otherwise.

Wow, those calculations are all way off. I don't have the time to correct them accurately for you right now, but I thought I should bring this to your attention as they are all possible OHKOs apart from Arcanine. You seem to have missed out the Iron Fist boost on Milotic and Arcanine, the fact that it is super effective on Steelix and Registeel, and both STAB and Iron Fist on Donphan.

I see. Is this better?

Milotic - 110.7% - 130.5%
Arcanine - 75% - 88.5%
Steelix - 105.6% - 125.4%
Registeel - 134.1% - 158.2%
Donphan - 112.3% - 132.3%

Did you actually test Bulk Up before sending it to OO? It's nearly as popular as all four sets you've listed combined :P

Also, I'm not sure but I think Set Comments are really only supposed to be more than one paragraph if it's really necessary. It may have just been said to prevent them from getting out of hand. On a related note, those damage calcs should be moved to Additional Comments.

Also, ground-types should be removed from counters, since you have Ice Punch on every set. At least specify that they should only be switching in on choice fighting moves. "Bulky" can be removed from Ghost-type counters when talking about those with WoW, since any of them can switch in on a fighting move and WoW.

I tried this for a few hours and didn't get much success. I considered adding a Bulk Up set from the start but Hitmonchan is a bit slow, Pokemon that take little damage from Mach Punch can screw the set over. I think Hitmonlee is better for this sort of thing. I talked with a few of the people on IRC and they all think its a bit pointless.

Also, I'm not sure but I think Set Comments are really only supposed to be more than one paragraph if it's really necessary. It may have just been said to prevent them from getting out of hand. On a related note, those damage calcs should be moved to Additional Comments.
Again, I disussed this on IRC and it's fine the way it is.

Yes.

on the agility set, you wrote raid instead of rain. Nice writeup otherwise
Yes.

Thanks Diesel and Visser

Support from Encore is also suggested when using this set due to Hitmonchan's low HP stat, meaning Substitutes are broken easily. Clefable is able to Encore support moves such as Stealth Rock or stat boosting moves such as Agility. This is helpful as Hitmonchan is free to set up a Substitute as the opponent is forced to switch out.

How would this work? Once Clefable encores a status boosting move won't they just switch as you bring in Hitmonchan. It's what I would do.

evs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spe

[Set Comments]

The aim of this set is to raise Hitmonchan's average Speed to great levels. 88 EVs and an Adamant nature give a stat of 210. This allows Hitmonchan to outrun all neutral Omastar and Gorebyss outside rain conditions, and is fast enough to outrun Choice Scarf Moltres and positive Electrode after an Agility boost. Close Combat and Ice Punch give great type coverage, while the final slot gives Hitmonchan the chance to OHKO Moltres with Stone Edge or protect itself from status with Substitute.

[Additional Comments]

88 Speed EVs allow Hitmonchan to outrun neutral Omastar and Gorebyss outside of rain, while after a boost from Agility it can outrun Scarfed Moltres and the aformentioned Pokemon in the rain. Max Attack is needed to deal powerful hits. The remaining EVs are placed into Hitmonchan's mediocre HP stat.

Bulky Water-types cause this set problems as Hitmonchan is unable to OHKO the likes of Milotic and Slowbro while both of these Pokemon can hit Hitmonchan with STAB Surf or in Slowbro's case, Psychic. Chansey is a great partner for this set as she is able to cripple these Pokemon with Toxic and weaken them with Seismic Toss.

Ghost-types cause problems for this set as they have an immunity to Close Combat, while Psychic-types take little damage from it. Absol is an excellent option as it can deal immense damage to Mismagius, Cresselia, Uxie, and Alakazam with its STAB Dark-type moves.

[SET]
name: SubPunch
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Focus Punch
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: Mach Punch / ThunderPunch / Stone Edge
item: Fist Plate / Leftovers
ability: Iron Fist
nature: Adamant
evs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 Spe

[Set Comments]

Hitmonchan uses the SubPunch combination to great success. Along with Ice Punch, it hits everything in UU for at least neutral damage barring Shedinja. Although Hitmonchan has a poor HP stat and average defenses, Substitute is great due to Hitmonchan's ability to cause switches. The item choice depends on whether you wish to boost the power of Focus Punch or recover health after making Substitutes. Focus Punch is Hitmonchan's most powerful STAB move, having a Base Power of 270 including STAB and Iron Fist (324 with Fist Plate). Ice Punch allows Hitmonchan to hit Ghost-types, while it also hits Venusaur harder than Focus Punch. Finally, there is the choice of Mach Punch, ThunderPunch, or Stone Edge. STAB priority is helpful for faster opponents, ThunderPunch gives perfect type coverage alongside Focus and Ice Punch, and Stone Edge hits Moltres for 4x super effective damage.
between / either are 2 options only; among is 3+. but among sounded strange so i just changed the sentence!

[Additional Comments]

160 Speed EVs put Hitmonchan at 228 Speed, outrunning 4 Speed Uxie so that it can Substitute before Yawn or Thunder Wave. Max Attack is a must as Hitmonchan wants to deal as much damage as possible. The remaining EVs are placed into HP, giving Hitmonchan a small defensive boost.

Support from Encore is also suggested when using this set due to Hitmonchan's low HP stat, meaning Substitutes are broken easily. Clefable is able to Encore support moves such as Stealth Rock or stat boosting moves such as Agility. This is helpful as Hitmonchan gets a safe switch-in and is able to set up.

Ghost-types will cause problems as they can switch in on a predicted Focus Punch and burn Hitmonchan with Will-O-Wisp, weakening any physical move. Dark-types such as Sneasel and Drapion make amazing partners to Hitmonchan as they can hit Mismagius with a STAB boosted Night Slash or Pursuit it upon switching out.
hitmonchan is generally focus punching under a substitute, but this is true regardless

Bulky Water-types such as Slowbro cause problems for this set as they take little damage from any damaging moves; Slowbro is a big problem as it resists Close Combat and Ice Punch. Specially-based Grass-types such as Venusaur are helpful, as they can hurt Slowbro with Leaf Storm or Energy Ball.

[Team Options]

Support from dual screens is helpful due to Hitmonchan's low HP stat, giving it more durability. Clefable is an excellent partner for Hitmonchan, as it is able to set up screens, cripple faster opponents with Thunder Wave and Encore, and easily heal itself with Sofboiled or Wish. Uxie is another great partner due to its amazing defensive stats and great supporting movepool.

Toxic Spikes are an option as it helps weaken bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic; both of these can survive Hitmonchan's moves and Recover will make them tough to take down. Drapion is the best option as it can set up Toxic Spikes, phaze with Whirlwind, and hit Ghost-types with Night Slash or Pursuit. Nidoqueen is another great option as she can set up both Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock.

To deal with Spiritomb, a Pokemon with Trick is helpful as it can render Spiritomb useless for the remainder of the match. Uxie is a decent option as it will survive powerful hits with super defensive stats and pass a uselss Choice Scarf onto Spiritomb. Clefable is another great option as it can cripple Spiritomb with a Flame or Toxic Orb. These Pokemon should beware of Choice Band Spiritomb.

Offensively, Absol is a great partner for Hitmonchan as it can hit Ghost- and Psychic-types with Sucker Punch or Night Slash. Pursuit is also available to it to hit fleeing opponents. This is helpful as Pokemon such as Alakazam and Mismagius will outspeed any non-Choice Scarf versions and damage Hitmonchan with powerful STAB moves. Raikou is another great partner as it can damage bulky Water-types with Thunderbolt and hit Mismagius with Shadow Ball. Raikou also appreciates the removal of Pokemon like Chansey and Registeel[color=#FF0FF],[/color] as it is unable to deal significant damage to them.

Using a bulky Water-type of your own helps remove bulky Ground-types such as Claydol and Nidoqueen with little trouble. Slowbro can set up Calm Mind boosts and become a threatening sweeper, while Milotic can cripple the opponent with Toxic or Hypnosis. A status absorber or cleric is helpful, as paralysis or a burn can leave Hitmonchan useless. Chansey and Clefable are both great options as they have access to Heal Bell and Aromatherapy. Both of these Pokemon have useful abilities: Chansey has Natural Cure, allowing her to relieve herself of status upon switching out, and Clefable has Magic Guard, making the effects of status moves useless. Registeel is another defensive option as it can switch in on Psychic- and Flying-type moves aimed at Hitmonchan, while it can also set up Stealth Rock or cripple opponents with Thunder Wave. Registeel is also a great check to Mismagius.

[Optional Changes]

Besides the moves already listed, Hitmonchan has a few more options available to it. Rapid Spin is available, though Hitmontop usually does a better job. Bulk Up can be used in tandem with Hitmonchan's decent Special Defense, though it has low HP. Pursuit is usable against fleeing opponents, though the low Base Power is a turn off. Drain Punch is an option if you wish to restore some of Hitmonchan's health, though it is unreliable and other moves deal more damage. Fake Out can be used alongside Mach Punch to weaken opponents and break Focus Sash.

[Counters]

Ghost-types, such as Spiritomb, are able to switch in on any Fighting-type move and threaten Hitmonchan with Will-O-Wisp or Hypnosis. If Hitmonchan decides to stay in, Spiritomb is free to set up Calm Mind or weaken it with STAB moves.

Uxie makes an excellent counters to Hitmonchan, as it is unable to deal large amounts of damage or hit it super effectively. It also has a great support movepool, such as Thunder Wave, which cripples Hitmonchan. Uxie also has the bonus of higher Speed, allowing it to outrun any Hitmonchan running less than 156 Speed EVs.

Choice sets are easier to counter as they are locked onto one move. Once you figure out what move is used, you are able to switch to the neccessary Pokemon that resists it.

Pokemon should take advantage of Hitmonchan's average Speed and hit it with a super effective move before it has the chance to hit you with Close Combat or an elemental punch. Pokemon such as Alakazam and Swellow are about to outspeed non-Choice Scarf sets and OHKO Hitmonchan with the neccessary move.

just sort of curious. in that first paragraph

This set functions primarily as a revenge killer. Using TunderPunch and Ice Punch alongside Close Combat will provide perfect type coverage, being able to hit everything in UU besides Shedinja, who is KOed with Stone Edge. Close Combat is Hitmonchan's most reliable STAB move, being able to 2HKO standard Registeel, Regirock, and Steelix. The second slot is a choice between Mach Punch or Stone Edge. On the other hand, Stone Edge gives Hitmonchan the chance to OHKO the most defensive Moltres while it also gives coverage against the rare Shedinja. Ice Punch allows it to hit Venusaur and Altaria harder than Close Combat or Stone Edge. ThunderPunch will damage Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic, and gives great type coverage alongside Ice Punch.
Where is the mention of Mach Punch? You sound like you're setting up a comparison between Stone Edge and Mach Punch, but you miss out of the latter completely.

This set functions primarily as a revenge killer. Using the these moves, which give near-perfect type coverage.
ThunderPunch and Ice Punch combination alongside Close Combat will provide perfect type coverage, being able to hit everything in UU besides Shedinja, who is KOed with Stone Edge. Close Combat is Hitmonchan's most reliable STAB move, being able to 2HKO standard Registeel, Regirock, and Steelix. The second slot is a choice between Mach Punch or Stone Edge. However, Ice Punch hits Venusaur and Altaria harder than Close Combat or Stone Edge. ThunderPunch will damage Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic.

[Additional Comments]

244 EVs and an Adamant nature allows Hitmonchan to reach 373 Speed, outrunning all Pokemon with base 120 Speed and under. Max Attack is vital to deal as much damage as possible. Remaining EVs are placed into Hitmonchan's disappointing HP stat. An alternative spread of 20 HP / 252 Atk / 236 Spe can be used with a Jolly nature, allowing Hitmonchan to outspeed everything up to and including Choice Scarf Moltres, though this would reduce the amount of damage due to the lower Attack stat.

Bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic cause problems for this set as it lacks the power to even 2HKO either of these threats. Defensively, Chansey makes an excellent partner as she is able to switch into special attacks with little trouble and threaten to poison these Pokemon with Toxic or weaken them with Seismic Toss. On the offensive side, Mismagius can set up Nasty Plot and hit Milotic with Thunderbolt and Slowbro with Shadow Ball.

Ghost-types are a big problem to Hitmonchan , as they are immune to Fighting-type attacks and can burn it with Will-O-Wisp. Pokemon with Pursuit will spell doom for frail Ghosts like Mismagius and Rotom.
With a Choice Band equipped, Hitmonchan achieves an Attack score of 508. Pair this with high powered STAB moves , including priority, and Hitmonchan will be damaging a lot of the UU metagame. After all boosts taken into account, Focus Punch has an astonishing 270 Base Power. Below are some damage calculations demonstrating its power. However, Close Combat is the more reliable option as Hitmonchan doesn't flinch if it takes a hit. Ice Punch allows Hitmonchan to hit Grass-types such as Venusaur and Mach Punch allows Hitmonchan to overcome its average Speed stat. The final slot is a choice between Stone Edge and ThunderPunch. Stone Edge OHKOes Moltres on the switch, whereas ThunderPunch gives great type coverage when paired with Ice Punch.

Focus Punch is Hitmonchan's most powerful STAB move,
having a Base Power of 270 including STAB and Iron Fist (324 with Fist Plate).

160 Speed EVs put Hitmonchan at 228 Speed,
outrunning 4 Speed Uxie so that it can Substitute before Yawn or Thunder Wave.

Bulky Water-types such as Slowbro cause problems for this set as they take little damage from any damaging moves
; Slowbro is a big problem as it resists Close Combat and Ice Punch( you just repeated the first sentence but in different wording). Specially-based Grass-types such as Venusaur are helpful, as they can hurt Slowbro with Leaf Storm or Energy Ball.

[Team Options]

Support from dual screens is helpful due to Hitmonchan's low HP stat, giving it more durability. Clefable is an excellent partner for Hitmonchan,
as it is able to set up screens, cripple faster opponents with Thunder Wave and Encore, and easily heal itself with Sofboiled or Wish. Uxie is another great partner due to its amazing defensive stats and great supporting movepool.

Toxic Spikes are an option as it helps weaken bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic;
both of these can survive Hitmonchan's moves and Recover will make them tough to take down.

Uxie is a decent option as it will survive powerful hits with super defensive stats and pass a useless Choice Scarf onto Spiritomb.

Raikou also appreciates the removal of Pokemon like Chansey and Registeel
, as it is unable to deal significant damage to them.

Bulk Up can be used in tandem with Hitmonchan's decent Special Defense, though
it has low HP.

It also has a great support movepool, such as Thunder Wave, which cripples Hitmonchan ( you should reword this sentence to " It also has Thunder Wave, which cripples Hitmonchan). Uxie also has the bonus of higher Speed, allowing it to outrun any Hitmonchan running less than 156 Speed EVs.

Choice sets are easier to counter as they are locked onto one move. Once you figure out what move is used, you are able to switch to the necessary Pokemon that resists it.

Pokemon should take advantage of Hitmonchan's average Speed and hit it with a super effective move before it has the chance to hit you with Close Combat or an elemental punch. Pokemon such as Alakazam and Swellow are about to outspeed non-Choice Scarf sets and OHKO Hitmonchan with the necessary move.

Bold means add or change

Your going to have to remove all the Cressila, Raikou, and Frosslass refrences ( although i couln't find any of Frosslass) because they aren't in UU

For the CB Focus Punch calcs, you should focus on OHKOs you accomplish with Focus Punch against faster sweepers/tanks, as opposed to walls. Any wall (including the examples you gave) that is OHKO'd by Focus Punch is going to be outsped and 2HKO'd by Close Combat: CC grants you the same benefit when they switch into you, and a lot more benefit if they stay in to attack you. Other things like bulky Arcanine that are 2HKO'd by FP and 3HKO'd by CC are going to force you out anyway; a 2HKO with FP is worthless.

What you should highlight is FP's ability to deal bigger hits to things like Toxicroak (95.78% - 112.99%), SDsaur (80.46% - 94.7%), Nidoking (85.15% - 100.33%), sweeper Arcanine (104.05% - 122.74% after Intimidate), sweeper Altaria (77.32% - 91.41%), Moltres (70.72% - 83.18%), and Scyther (44.48% - 52.31%, considerable if SR is down) on the switch. In each case CC misses out on a OHKO either before or after SR, and since they outspeed and threaten you, a 2HKO won't cut it. Though Hitmonchan has moves to OHKO all these Pokémon, FP would be used to ease prediction.

With Iron Fist as its ability, along with a base 105 Attack, Hitmonchan makes a powerful physical sweeper. Factoring in STAB and Iron Fist, Hitmonchan's Focus Punch has an outstanding Base Power of 270, while Mach Punch reaches 72 Base Power, allowing Hitmonchan to become a useful revenge killer. Access to all three elemental punches is also a bonus, as Hitmonlee and Hitmontop lack these moves, which give near-perfect type coverage.

This set functions primarily as a revenge killer. Using the ThunderPunch and Ice Punch combination alongside Close Combat will provide perfect type coverage, being able to hit everything in UU for neutral damage besides Shedinja, who is KOed with Stone Edge. Close Combat is Hitmonchan's most reliable STAB move, being able to 2HKO standard Registeel, Regirock, and Steelix. The second slot is a choice between Mach Punch or Stone Edge. Mach Punch allows Hitmonchan to outrun other priority users, like Azumarill and Absol, while Stone Edge gives Hitmonchan the chance to OHKO the most defensive Moltres and Shedinja. Ice Punch hits Venusaur and Altaria harder than Close Combat or Stone Edge and ThunderPunch will damage Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic.

An alternative spread of 20 HP / 252 Atk / 236 Spe can be used with a Jolly nature, allowing Hitmonchan to outspeed every Pokemon up to and including Choice Scarf Moltres, though this would reduce the amount of damage due to the lower Attack stat.

Ghost-types are a big problem to Hitmonchan, as they are immune to Fighting-type attacks and can burn it with Will-O-Wisp. Pokemon with Pursuit will spell doom for frail Ghosts like Mismagius and Rotom.
With a Choice Band equipped, Hitmonchan achieves an Attack score of 508. Pair this with high powered STAB moves, including priority, and Hitmonchan will be damaging a lot of the UU metagame. After all the boosts are taken into account, Focus Punch has an astonishing 270 Base Power. I know talking about grammar is kinda lame, but I think it's needed for this guy. Hitmonchan can only be male so you need to find/change the "it" and "its" and replace with "he" and "his", etc. I'll mark this throughout the analysis; it's not too much.

Focus Punch is Hitmonchan's most powerful STAB move,
having a Base Power of 270 including STAB and Iron Fist (324 with Fist Plate). Ice Punch allows Hitmonchan to hit Ghost-types, while also hitting (prose change) Venusaur harder than Focus Punch.

160 Speed EVs put Hitmonchan at 228 Speed,
outrunning 4 Speed Uxie so that Hitmonchan can Substitute before Yawn or Thunder Wave (Why is this important? Won't Uxie just Psychic/Zen Headbutt/Thunderbolt Hitmonchan? Another example?).

(Any better examples? Those two still get burned by Will-O-Wisp so maybe you want Houndoom mentioned here. Maybe mention the other two Dark-types with Lum Berries too? These could be mentioned in the other sets as well.)

(I also don't see how some Ghost-types are a notable problem. Normally, one will be switching into a Substitute, and then next turn, it'll take an Ice Punch. If it's Spiritomb, you can Substitute again if it tries to burn Hitmonchan; Spiritomb stays sorta true to causing problems though as it only takes about 25% damage with Ice Punch. Mismagius is about 2HKOed with Stealth Rock from Ice Punch, so if it's the Nasty Plot version, it'll probably die. RestTalk Rotom is in the same boat with Spiritomb, but if it's offensive, it's taking around 40% damage. At the end, perhaps all I'm trying to say is add in the word "Defensive" in front of "Ghost-types" in SubPunch, Agility, Choice Band, and Choice Scarf and everything's good.) (not bolding this because it'll hurt)

Bulky Water-types such as Slowbro cause problems for this set as they take little damage from any damaging moves
; Slowbro resists Close Combat and Ice Punch, and it also has Slack Off to recover its health. Specially-based Grass-types such as Venusaur are helpful, as they can hurt Slowbro with Leaf Storm or Energy Ball.

[Team Options]

Support from dual screens is helpful due to Hitmonchan's low HP stat, giving it more durability. Clefable is an excellent partner for Hitmonchan
, as it is able to set up screens, cripple faster opponents with Thunder Wave and Encore, and easily heal itself with Softboiled or Wish. Uxie is another great partner due to its amazing defensive stats and great support movepool.

Toxic Spikes are an option as they help weaken bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Milotic
; both of these can survive Hitmonchan's moves and their recovery moves will make them tough to take down. Drapion is the best option as it can set up Toxic Spikes, phaze with Whirlwind, and hit Ghost-types with Night Slash or Pursuit. Nidoqueen is another great option as she can set up both Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock.

To deal with Spiritomb, a Pokemon with Trick is helpful as it can render Spiritomb useless for the remainder of the match (I don't think Spiritomb is really useless. If it's a regular defensive version, it's still going to switch into Hitmonchan's Fighting-type attack and Will-O-Wisp/Ghost-type attack it. Tricking Spiritomb will make dealing with it easier though. You can probably just add in a "somewhat" in front of "useless" and it'll be okay.). Uxie is a decent option as it will survive powerful hits thanks to its high defensive stats and pass a useless Choice Scarf onto Spiritomb. Clefable is another great option as it can cripple Spiritomb with a Flame or Toxic Orb. These Pokemon should beware of Choice Band Spiritomb, however.

Swellow is another decent partner for Hitmonchan as it benefits from the removal of Rock- and Steel-types like Aggron and Registeel.

A status absorber or cleric is helpful, as paralysis or a burn can leave Hitmonchan useless. Chansey and Clefable are both great options as they have access to Heal Bell and Aromatherapy. Both of these Pokemon have useful abilities: Chansey has Natural Cure, allowing her to relieve herself of status upon switching out, and Clefable has Magic Guard, making the effects of non-damaging moves useless. Registeel is another defensive option as it can switch in on Psychic- and Flying-type moves aimed at Hitmonchan, while it can (remove) also setting (prose change) up Stealth Rock or cripple opponents with Thunder Wave. Registeel is also a great check to Mismagius.

[Optional Changes]

Besides the moves already listed, Hitmonchan has a few more options available to it. Rapid Spin is available, though Hitmontop usually does a better job. Bulk Up can be used in tandem with Hitmonchan's decent Defense, though
it has low HP. Pursuit is usable against fleeing opponents, though the low Base Power is a turn off. Drain Punch is an option if you wish to restore some of Hitmonchan's health, though it is unreliable and other moves deal more damage. Fake Out can be used alongside Mach Punch to weaken opponents and break Focus Sashes.

(This is not really needed, but if you can get synonyms for "though" here, that would make this better to read. Like, keep two "though"s at spots 1 and 3 and put a synonym or two in spots 2 and 4.)

[Counters]

Defensive Ghost-types such as Spiritomb are able to switch in on any Fighting-type move and threaten Hitmonchan with Will-O-Wisp or Hypnosis. If Hitmonchan decides to stay in, Spiritomb is free to set up Calm Mind or weaken it with STAB moves.

Uxie makes an excellent counter to Hitmonchan, as it is unable to deal large amounts of damage or hit it super effectively. Uxie also has Thunder Wave, which cripples Hitmonchan. As a bonus, (comma) Uxie has of (remove) higher Speed, allowing it to outrun any Hitmonchan running less than 156 Speed EVs.

Choice sets are easier to counter as they are locked onto one move. Once you figure out what move is used, you are able to switch to the necessary Pokemon who resists it.

Fast Pokemon should take advantage of Hitmonchan's average Speed and hit it with a super effective move before it has the chance to hit you with Close Combat or an elemental punch. Pokemon such as Alakazam and Swellow are able to outspeed non-Choice Scarf sets and OHKO Hitmonchan with the necessary move.

Hitmonchan's pretty cool; nice analysis!
