Oh well, nobody will be choosing Mijimaru, it's Firepig or Smugleaf for me then (well it was Firepig from the start anyway)
That's a bit of an overstatement. On my English version, I'll start with the bacon since I always take the fire-type there. However, if I end up deciding to import a copy as well, I'll likely start with Ikkaku-lion. I hate the fire-starter, don't really care for most grass-types that don't have egg moves, and I think the only other water-type we've seen has been the monkey. Also, it's easier to power-crush the game with a water type than either other starter.

So, is it just me or is the grass starter the only one that doesn't induce vomiting? The pig line is /horrendous/ and the water3 just is the biggest aestetic piece of fail ever.

I'm actually interested in the Herbivore ability on Afro-Bison. Though, very situational, this means that Afro-Bison will get a grass move or two. Therefore, if he comes in on a grass type move (granted, any immunity on a normal type is welcome) and gets the boost, he then gets pseudo-STAB on grass moves which would help it if there are is a rock type on the field (which would normally wall Afro-Bison's normal STAB). I'm assuming it will get access to Earthquake, as well, which would have taken care of Rock types (as well as Steels), so the Herbivore boost might end up being novelty if anything. It could catch an unprepared team off guard.
From what I understand, when the Pokemon is hit by a Grass-type move its Attack (the actual stat; like Motor Drive rather than Flash Fire) is raised. This means it can come in on Celebi (Leaf Storm) or Breloom (Spore/Seed Bomb) and grab a free attack boost. All of its attacks will now be more powerful, not just Grass-type attacks. It seems extremely useful to me.

@ Dane: Umm, no. We've seen quite a few Water-types; Mijumaru, Mamanbou, Swana, Hiyappu, Basurao

I'm picking the water starter. It's fucking badass.

Although I've used the water starter in every generation because they're always the coolest.

SEriously it was on the page before this one; Blasphemy noted the number of pokes for each type...

EDIT: Ninja'd by Blasphemy -_-

So, is it just me or is the water starter the only one that doesn't induce vomiting? The pig line is /not that bad actually/ and the water3 just is the biggest aestetic piece of fail ever.

Thats a bit much.

Honestly, they look better than the fourth gen's final starters. Mijumaru turns into a badass Sea Lion/Narwhal.

The pig looks silly though.

574: Emo Baby Pokémon. Gochiruzeru Pre Evo. A baby with big purple head and great blue eyes. Similar design. Pure Psychic Type.

Those two pages I believe were ripped out of the main CoroCoro magazine (I believe Pages 10 to 31 of the booklet may actually contain the manga they said would be in this issue) and not within the booklet which information generally has been included within. As such, like Liam said, they'd have to be pulled out. You can see the rip in the top right as I've noted before and people posted here. The images were then put into the scanner the wrong way round causing this confusion.

Besides, Chaobuu is in one of the "normal" scans anyway with the same art so...
Those of you arguing about the "fake" scans must of missed this earlier post which explains the "insert" comment for the most part.

Oh hell. Are we getting a brand new GTS, or will D/P/Pt/SS/HG no longer be allowed onto the old one? Because I know getting some of these pokés is going to be a real pain.

So somebody just put all the speculated from experto/comfirmed stuff together. Here it all is

I like the Wotter line a lot, even its final form. In fact, it's one of my favorite final forms on any gen. (I've yet to say this, because I didn't want to pop in when everyone was bashing it) I am the rare person who NEVER uses their starter the whole way through (usually gets dumped around lv 22), but I might keep that guy if he has decent stats/useful moves... or at least for Surf.

@Blasphemy1: Ahh, yes. I just looked it up and you are correct. I must have misread that way back. SeasonalDeer (I cannot remember any of these japanese names to save my life...) seems like a special attacker though, so I don't see it helping it out as much. Haven't we mainly seen it use attacks such as Energy Ball?

Those of you arguing about the "fake" scans must of missed this earlier post which explains the "insert" comment for the most part.
How do you put an image into a scanner wrong to the point that it changes the image? Besides, he uses "I believe" quite a lot for someone who's trying to say that they're 100% real.

As for the water Pokemon, meh still like the starter and water monkey the best out of them. Water/Flying isn't appealing to me, nor is a piranha, nor is a Luvdisc wannabe.

I'm hoping the new buffalo poke will kind of be kind of like Tauros, but with a bit of it's speed shifted to attack or something.

Also so far we have 9 new abilities. I read somewhere, dunno if it's true or not, that there's going to be 26. Anyone buy that?

hey guys stop talking about a) whether the scan is real or fake and b) what a dinosaur is, and whether grass starters are or not. Two reaaaaally stupid discussions. :x

Experto said there is a pre-pre evo to Gochi, so that's another two Psychic types in the mix.

Where did the Alien, Vulture, and Ground/Electric + Ground/Ghost be "revealed"?? First time hearing about those.

Man, I hope the Bug/Steel cannon thing is actually some kinda mutant space destroyer on a mission to destroyer the mutant Deoxys. And they make a movie about it, and the cannon decides "HERP DERP YALL ARE GOOD" at the end and leaves <3

Also, anyone love that the Ant pokemon is Bug/Steel (4x Fire weak) and the Anteater is a Fire type? teehee, oh GF you're so witty
