United Forever in Friendship and Labour
A Gen V OU RMT

Some music to set the tone

Comrades! The revolution is at hand and the Vanguard is beginning to be mobilized. I call upon you, the workers, to view these great and awe-inspiring figures before you and 'rate' how effective they will be at destroying the bourgeois.

(Ignore that their genders are F as that is merely to prevent gimmicky teams from halting the rising of the working class)

Let us take a quick glance at our glorious leaders

-------------------------

Saint-Simon (Smeargle) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP/ 4 Def/ 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic Spikes
- Magic Coat

The revolution admittedly stole most of this set from Z-rek (his RTM can be found here http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3452553). Below is what the counter revolutionary had to say about our new leader...
This spot was being held by deoxys-s , but I changed to smeargle lately and it's doing well , this guy is often my lead unless I see an espeon in the team preview or something like that , trick room , out of all strategies , provoke a lot of switches , your opponent will try to stall out the turns by switching on resisted moves ..etc , so adding hazards to the team was an obvious choice , smeargle gets the job done pretty well , guarantee at least SR as well as crippling an opponent pokemon with spore..smeargle can also come later in the game and add some layer of spike or toxic spikes with his nice speed , magic coat is pretty nice to reflect taunt on opposing deoxys-S / whimsicott ..etc , smeargle allows me to start nicely against stall teams , which is a horrible match up against TR usually ..

lately I'v been having trouble against bulky water such as jellicent and vaporeon , so sometimes I use toxic spikes instead of spikes .. Anyway this "lead" gets the job done and I'm quite pleased with him .
This great French thinker shall lead the way for our men using a mixture of spore and magic coat to assure early dominance and gaining the revolution much needed momentum. Destiny bond is currently being considered as a alternative move...

-------------------------

Che (Starmie) @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Ice Beam

Starmie is the very representation of Che. Much as Che tried to fulfill too many roles and ended falling so to does our dear friend Starmie. As capitalist rocks pose a dire threat to Lenin's revolution and spinning capabilities of Starmie prove much need aid. And yet its offensive potential is far too tempting to go to waste as boltbeam + surf provides such wonderful coverage. Yet lifeorb is really needed to put a dent into the conniving upperclass, but it really limits the staying ability of this pokemon. With a successful revolution often times depending on this guy the longer he can stay around the better. While this multitasking often proves to be Starmie's Bolivia, he most often then not, capable for fulfilling both the role of a SAtk sweeper and a rapid spinner.

-------------------------

Stalin (Roobushin) (F) @ Flame Orb
Trait: Guts
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Payback

By far the most dirty and fowl of all the capitalists is Doryuzu. Fast and powerful he has the potential to halt any revolution. That is where the man of steel comes in able to stop that wretched mole in its tracks with a OHKO. Beyond that mach punch continues to lead the way, allowing Stalin to serve as a excellent revenge killer. Yet much like real soviet leader a main source of his power comes from his self destructive tendencies aka Flame orb. Payback is much more useful then stone edge in regards to Roobushin's true counters and I HATE SE's 80% accuracy.

-------------------------

Gorbachev (Dragonite) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multi-Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch
- Roost

Troksy has been purged. No longer is his type needed in a metagame without drizzle. Yet his dragon typing can still prove an assist to the revolution. Enter Gorbachev whose new ability in the form of multi-scale finally allows him to have an offensive niche over salamance. With Dragonite now being the easy pokemon to set up dragon dance with in the game he is able to shine in gen v. Fire punch is to deal with any Ferrothorn's who attempt to stop Gorbachev in his quest to reform socialism to fit within this new metagame.

-------------------------

Lenin (Urugamosu) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Bug Buzz
- Butterfly Dance
- Flame Dance
- Hidden Power [Rock]

Lenin is more or less who this teamed was based around. With Butterfly dance boosting its already sky high SAtk the great coverage of the duel stab of Fire and Bug rips through the oppressive regimes and is an inspiration for all workers in the world. HP rock is able to crush, with the exception of heatran, almost everything that comes across it. Flying dragon types are kept at bay as well as fire types. Dance away leader of the Vanguard party and crush the white army.

-------------------------

Tito (Mamoswine) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Icicle Drop
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Gilscor is a fascist pigdog. Him and his sand-streaming buddies have put a fault to expansion of equality for far too long. As such the priority ice shard is a welcomed addition to the red arsenal. Icicle drop is used when I believe the opponent will be switching out or for when Mamoswine out speeds his opposition. Stone Edge helps take care of flyers and earthquake is for a solid stab when, for whatever reason, the aforementioned moves are inappropriate.
Traitors to the Revolution

Mao Zedong (Warubiaru) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Earthquake Spiral
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Claw Sharpen
- Stone Edge

SE is the devil with its 80 accuracy but lucking the peasants have found a solution to this in the form of claw sharpen. In one turn Mao is able to turn one of the most traitorous counterrevolutionary moves possible into an outstanding weapon in the fight for Communism. Despite being a tad on the slow side Mao is able to out-speed many of his counters (tyranitar etc.) and in doing so boost his already impressive attack. Dark, rock, ground gives impressive coverage as well as fills a few 'type' holes on my team. The only problem is that this Maoist is that he's a glass cannon, hell, even that sounds too sturdy to truly describe him. So while the revolution benefits from, and dare I say needs, both dark and ground type, Mao often proves a bit unreliable.

Marx (Jirachi) @ Balloon
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Wish
- U-turn
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock

Let us begin the man who started it all. Jiarchi once struck gear in the hearts of enemies using Doom Desire yet it seems that the bourgeois over at PO wish to distrupt our revolution by forgetting to make the damage typeless. That is of not great concern however as now Jiarchi is able to set a path for the revolution to take place. By crippling leads with thunder wave and setting up the rocks Jirachi is able to undo the systems of control set up by the capitalist-pig-dogs and allow for future generations to 'sweep' with great ease. U-turn allows this process to be repeated if need be and wish is able to help its comrades endure the struggle for liberation. This is especially true of Lenin (Urugamosu) if Che (Starmie) is unable to fulfill its role.

Hồ Chí Minh (Terakion) @ Balloon
Trait: Justice Heart
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

Maoists and their peasantry showed little deference to Lenin and our true purpose. Slow and weak Mao could hardly overthrow a weakened emperor let alone our true capitalists foes. Thus we turn to his neighbor to the West for guidance. With as much, if not more, power then his predecessor and speed well past the 100 mark Terakion has the potential to sweep entire teams by himself. Yet his weakness to ground is most troubling as that is still the revolutions greatest weakness. I have often seen this guy have a swords dance or a rock polish yet it seems to me that he is more then powerful enough for just a pure coverage (not choice band) moveset. Thoughts?

Trotsky (Kingdra) (F) @ Persim Berry
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Yawn
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage

Let's face it ladies and gentlemen of the revolution; capitalists love water. If Doryuzu is Adam Smith Politoed would at least be Ronald Regan (with Ninetails naturally being Marget Thatcher). But fear not brave warriors of the proletarian army for Kingdra is able to use the tactics of the enemy against them. This EV spread ensures that Trotsky will outspeed other Kingdras using a mixed set while the persim berry makes the most of outrage. Waterfall is mandatory STAB and flinching is always nice. Yawn is fantastic for a free DD as well as taking advantage of the currently broken sleep mechanics. Trotsky will most likely be replaced once Politoed is banned but as of right now he will defeat the white army until the day he gets a pickaxe in the skull./

Hoxha (Ononokusu) (M) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Brick Break

Engles (Azelf) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Grass Knot
- Psychic
- Flamethrower

Marx is dead. The time is now for a new leader to create ablaze throughout the capitalist's empire. A fire which will most likely be started by a nasty plot boosted flamethrower. Grass, psychic, fire, gives disgustingly good coverage in the current metagame. Hippowdon, Nattorei, Roobushin, all bow before this little floating coauthor of the manifesto. Speaking of which Levitate helps to counter my ground weaknesses brought up by a few commenters. With the common, stealth rock, u-turn, lead Azelf being the most common set this more offensive set is usually able to get a nasty plot in. The main problem with Engles, is like his name sake, a wee bit fragile. While he is more then capable of out-speeding most pokemon there seems to be an abnormally large amount of dark typed pokemon being used. Luckily for my team Stalin and Engles provide great synergy for each other.
-------------------------

Just to correct you Doom Desire is no longer typeless so PO is not wrong. It is now a 100% accurate 140 BP move that is also boosted by STAB now on top of actually being a Steel move being both resisted and SE by the corresponding types. So it's actually much stronger than it was overall and only a tad bit weaker against those that resist it once the higher BP and STAB are factored in.

That said, nifty team with an original theme, to say the least. If you insist on using Warubiaru a scarf set is probably best for late sweeping once you know your enemy's entire team you can choose the appropriate move to sweep his entire team with and getting the attack boost each time. Heracross and Salamence seem like better users of the ability however.

Sweet RMT probably one of the coolest i have ever seen :D
Anyways i only have two suggestions

For kingdra i have never heard of that set and i just want you to try another one.
Kingdra @ leftovers
swift swim
EVs: 4HP/252atk/252spe
adamant nature
-substitute
-dragon dance
-waterfall
-outrageThis is the set i use and i find it to be the most effective. Basically people may usally send in someone on a +1 or +2 kingdra that can status it if they dont have any more counters, this is where substitute comes in play. If you can manage to get a sub up on a status you can likely get 1-2 more dd's ending in a sweep.

My last suggestion is on warubiaru.
I don't think waru is quite fast enough to have a claw sharpen set IMO so heres a choice scarf set.

Warubiaru @ choice scarf
earthquake spiral
evs: 4HP/252atk/252spe
jolly/adamant nature (take your pick)
-crunch
-earthquake
-outrage
-stone edge
This set provides great coverage and can hit just about anything for atleast neutral damage. You might want to change outrage for something else to hit dragons because it's kind of annoying being locked into a non-stab outrage. Anyways, this set could potentially act as a late game sweeper thanks to eq spiral boosting your attack after every K0, as well as a revenge killer.

Hope i helped!

*Edit* i got ninjad on the scarf suggestion :(

Hi there!:D

First off, I'd like to say that I love your team. I love the theme, I love the layout, bravo.

On another note, seeing as i just woke up, i'm feeling fairly un-lazy at the moment, so I decided to really look at your team, rather than just give a glance. So here it goes!

So I looked at your type resistance/ weakness chart on Marriland, and it looks great. Nothing of much concern, but you DO have NO ground resist (unless you count balloon Rachi, who will most likely take a hit anyway), and one ground weakness (Rachi, on a balloon). Now, i'm not gonna suggest to you different team members, because i'm not the type to be able to say "This pokemon fits great for this reason!". I just can't. But i would like to look at some specific threats, and see how they can be handled.

Roobushin: Urugamoso seems to be the only fairly reliable way of taking it out. (not to mention that some run SE, so this could be a problem.) Now you may have some certain way to take care of him, but this is what I see, from the outside in:

Jirach: Really just set up fodder for Roobu. If he comes in on T-wave, its just an added bonus, as he wont be outspeeding anyway.

Starmie: KO'd by Payback.

Your own Roobu: Can sometimes beat it if played right, but that is terribly unreliable, especially if you switch into a Bulk Up.

Kingdra: You MAY be able to yawn him out, if he isnt allready statused, but you're still probably gonne eat a +1 Drain punch. Ouch...

Urugamosu: If it runs stone edge (which I have been seeing more lately) it will be OUT.

Waruvial: SE STAB moves? Roobu says "I'm Daddy"

So TO ME it looks like Roobo is a fairly large threat to this team. But i can think of one threat more serious than that :O

SKYMIN!

Jirachi: Most likely, you won't see Skymin Head to Head verses you're lead Rachi. So most likely You will be switching in, so here are some calcs for you:
Lets say Skymin switches into your Starmie who is RS'ing. Of course, it will fire off a seed flare, so either take the KO, or switch to Rachi.

252 SpA Seed Flare vs. 252/ 252 Jirachi: (Rounding) 18-22%
252 SpA Erth Power vs. 252/ 252 Jirachi (-2 SpD): 73-86%

So once you take the Seed Flare (assuming you switched in) you MOST LIKELY have a -2 SpD now. So if you take Min/Min damage, you're looking at 91%. This is with NO LIFE ORB. So if you have ANY prior damage, you die. Now lets look at your other 'mons.

Starmie: Seed Flare OHKO
Roobushin: Air Slash OHKO
Kingdra: Air Slash + Seed Flare KO's (you'll have to avoid the flinch)
Urugamosu: Air Slash + Air Slash KO's (again, you must avoid flinch)
Waruvial: Seed Flare OHKO's

If you as me, Skymin is like a 5 star threat here. Outspeeds your entire team, and KO's most with no problem.

At a glance, those are the only BIG threats I see, the latter being able to sweep your whole team.

Now, if you just want to screw over weather teams unexpectedly, you can put hail > yawn on your kingdra. Or replace Kingdra with Tentacruel, but that adds a ground and electric weakness, so i wouldnt recommend it.

Sorry for being such a Debbie Downer, but really, I LOVE this team. Although I found a BIG flaw, i actually never rate teams because i dont feel like taking the time, so don't think I'm picking on you, it's only because i like the team. It incorporates a lot of poke's that i've been looking into using, and the theme is great, so i had to contribute as much as i could. I agree on scarfing Waruvial, so that should help. All in all, great team. Keep up the good work!

I will tryout a Scarf on Waruvial, thanks for the suggestions.

Jaroda

Thank you for correction. I feel a if Doom Desire (the way it was in gen IV) would be better suited for my u-turning Jirachi and the current DD is not appropriate for his role as a lead.

lampost44

I find the lack of a dragon STAB on that Kingdra set a bit unsettling although I may start using Earthquake to get a nice neutral hit on nattorei.

rh2012

Other Roobushin do give me a bit of a hard time but I am usually able to kill them with Surf + rock damage with Starmie. Granted if that doesn't work Starmie can die to payback but a lot of people are running the SE set so I am usually safe.

As far as Skymin goes it can cut through my team, if Lenin didn't get any BDs in, and would make a great addition. Yet seeing as how he will most likely be banned on the Jan 2, if I've heard correctly, I think I'll wait to see how the metagame evolves before changing my team.

kingdra doesnt learn earthquake guys, stick to outrage. 4th move can be hydro pump if you would prefer that. It lets you destroy skarmory in the rain. Substitutes also good, though

Oh my god im sorry i meant to put outrage, i feel like such a noob my bad.
Do not use earthquake waterfall/outrage is the best coverage.
*Edits post*

Oh my god this is the. Coolest. Team. Ever. Sorry if I slip into communist propaganda.

Since you are maxing SAtk on Starmie anyway I suggest Hydro Pump for beastly liberating power, able to strike down fearful left wing eagle like Zapdos in 2 hits. If I remember correctly most Dusknoir and Desukaan are 2HKOed as well.

Lum > Persim on Kingdra as beating Will-o-Wisping/Boil Over bulky waters is more important in my opinion than another free Outrage. Works a hell lot better against stall, I can attest. Also, dirty money grabbing capitalist with Mischievous Hearts can paralyse Kingdra and slow down revolution, if not for valiant effort of people's Lum berry, lovingly harvested by glorious Soviet tractor from farming collective in Slavnoya county.

Just as a general note I would like to thank you, the people, for showing your support and love for the revolution. Our chains will soon be broken my friends.

Also great news comrades, Adam Smith (Doryuuzu) and Nicholas II (Skymin) have been purged. What forces could possibly stop the revolution now?

cmurph/min min

If there is one thing that makes my blood boil more then seeing the suffering of the working class it is a move missing due to poor accuracy. I will try out this 'hydro pump' on Starmie but am a bit weary as those capitalists can be nimble little buggers!

Mischievous Hearts can definitely slow down the revolution which is why I am considering adding Torunerosu to our ranks. Thoughts?

lampost44

No harm done! You have contributed much to the revolution!

Congratulations on your team Comrade Donasin! Terakion is a great addition to your glorious revolution against the vile capotilists! (yeah, I'll stop now) Anywhom, fighting and ground provide rediculously redundant coverage, so definetely replace earthquake for rock polish/swords dance, depending if you are having more trouble with the czarists(stall) or capotilists(offense) Besides that, your team looks good. Long live the Revolution!

I think this team looks pretty solid, so good job on the building part.

Anyways, there isn't much I can think of at the top of my head at the moment, however, one quick suggestion- replace life orb with leftovers on your starmie, rapid spinning while taking away your own health isn't all the pleasant, especially if a nattorei with rugget helmet comes in, I know it isn't popular, but in the long run I think lefties would help more.

Also, your jirachi's EVs are kinda weird, with a +def nature and 252 SpD EVs, I think your goal is to accomplish being a mixed wall, so I'd suggest a spread among the lines of: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD with a careful nature.

I'm still kinda a rusty gen V team rater, but I hope this helps regardless!

EDIT:
I agree with min min, lum is defiantly better on kingdra, since even if you don't get burned/poisoned, lum will activate after you use outrage to cure your confusion, so it can serve multiple purposes.

UPDATE'd

I know a new ban list is coming up soon but this team has struggled to keep up with the changing metagame so any advice would be welcomed.
