Drought Team

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Facade
- Taunt

No, Ninetales isn't the lead, but thanks to team previews it's not that important. It just makes it less obvious what my plan is. This is quite a defensive SD Gliscor as they go. I used to have Ice Fang on it but then Chomp got banned - the rest of the team's major problem - and now I have Facade.

Jolteon (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Thunder
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

OK. Jolteon on a sun team can only serve one purpose. It's sort of this team's TOADBUSTER i.e. it beats Politoed. HP Ice is for any dragon that does decide to get in. Thunder is for beating Toed, Thunderbolt for when the sun is up, Volt Switch for scouting (VS could be changed, any suggestions Smogon?)

Rotom-C @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Leaf Storm
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

I know what you're thinking. "Am I seeing things or does that Rotom say C next to it instead of W". But no. Not W. It's C. No washing machines. Lawnmowers. Wakarimashita ka? This plays the same role as Rotom W usually does but it's C instead. I don't know why but I can't seem to handle Water types whatsoever, being from an ancient clan of Pokemon trainers who are taught with Fire types since birth i.e. my first proper 'mon ever was fire type and i have continued to specialise. Everything else is like W.

Ninetales (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Energy Ball

Sort of self explanatory, it's a nasty plot Ninetales and the weather inducer. One thing I have learned is the "toad lure" technique - when fighting rain teams, send in Ninetales and the next turn is almost always a Toed switch. So send in Jolteon on the same turn and that's that for Toed. If it switches out, then save Jolteon and send in Rotom or Gliscor because of the Ground move that inevitably follows.

Venusaur (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Growth
- Sleep Powder
- SolarBeam
- Hidden Power [Fire]

I used to have Darmanitan in this slot but Venusaur just seems better because if I kept Daruma then I would have two physical fire sweepers. This is just a Chlorophyll Venusaur which can't really do anything other than sleep powder outside of the sun. But then again, I don't send Saur out until sun is fixed and the enemy weather inducer is KO'd.

Entei @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- ExtremeSpeed
- Bulldoze
- Stone Edge

Now. Entei. I know you think I'm mad, but for your information I am completely sane. For me it is much better than arcanine. And it works. It's a sweeper basically. I have two, as you know, one physical (Entei) and one special (Venusaur) unless you count Gliscor. Priority has come in extremely useful for Entei. Stone Edge counters quite a few threats, and Bulldoze is there for the pesky rock types (I am considering switching it for Howl). If water types come in, I just send in Rotom.

entei? arcanine? anything works better than them in that last slot. have u tried a sandstorm check that isn't gliscor, cos most ss teams run rotom-w as a rain check, and that kills gliscor. u gotta get another one. terrakion works pretty well, and his water weakness isn't as severe in sun. give him a shot. for the 'toadbuster' i found starmie to be viable. it spams a 100% accurate thunder and a nice bp hydro pump, and it's super speedy. it doesn't have as much an impact in the sun, but the only reason jolteon's there is to kill toed, but starmie kills lots more. for jolteon u could also try that broken piece of shit sitting on a cloud, but it might be banned soon. its a cool team, and gl
